Just curious but was any other candidate of any party asked to reveal their birth certificate? The "Long form? I don't have my long form bith certificate anymore, it fell to pieces when I pulled it out of storage after 30-some years. I have a 'certified copy of it which I will need if I ever want to get a passport again. I lost my Social security card too. These things that you get before you can remember, many people will lose or they may fall apart, they are far from permanent. He should be born in this country, he should be 35 or older. Has anybody seen his passport? Is it from the United States? Does it say that he was born in the United States? If so, I suspect that he was born in this country because of what I have already said about my passport. We could ask the Egyptian Customs Agents. Even Barack Hussein Obama has to have a passport and go through Customs...well in theory.

Yes, McCain. Congress even passed a resolution stating he was eligible to run for the Office of the Presidency. He was born on a military base in the Panama Canal Zone. There was a question as to whether he was a 'natural born citizen'. The analysis pointed out that McCain was born of American citizen parents serving on a US military base and this falls within the meaning of 'natural born citizen' as stated in the Constitution.

Obama however, was not born of US parents. His father was from Kenya, a British colony. So he was born with dual citizenship thus there could be a question to his allegiance to the US. Through out history natural born includes those born on US soil and of allegiance to the US. Since Obama has not sufficiently shown the American public that he was born on US soil and we know he was born with dual allegiances, there are questions concerning his eligibility.

Its insulting to those that voted for the President, its insulting for those that live in the state of Hawaii whose laws do not allow for what you are asking for. You have access to the same records that the President and his family does, let it go. You lost an election, it happens. The question of whether Mr. Obama is a native born citizen and thus qualified to serve as president is one that can be decided only by our courts. So the appropriate action for people who believe that he is not qualified is to file suit in Federal court. (In fact, I think someone may have done so already.)

The government staff who are working on the Open Government Project and the citizens contributing comments and ideas cannot do anything to resolve the questions some people have regarding Mr. Obama's citizenship & patriotism.

The Constitution of the United States of America requires that an elected President be a "natural born" citizen. This is not innuendo.

There is not a requirement that a 'candidate' be a "natural born" citizen, but if elected President the candidate has to be a "natural born" citizen of the United States of America.

Why is he spending millions of dollars to fight showing his records. Why did McCain have to prove his eligibility and Obama did not? The reason I really want to see Obama's hospital records is that I honestly don't like the man, think he is horrible at his job, and am looking for ANY reason to get him the heck out.

Also, I know it isn't there. No one even remembers him being born there - unlike normal people with aunts and uncles, close friends. Also, Obama's own grandmother says he was born in Kenya.

It would seem appropriate that Obama, who claims to have the most transparent of all Presidential administrations, would produce his vault birth certificate(time and place of birth), college admission records, etc. One thing that bothers me is that his father was a British subject at the time of his birth (per Obama's web site) which automatically makes Obama a British citizen (even if he was born in Hawaii). That would make him ineligible to run for President under the Constitution's "natural born citizen" clause. What's even more troubling is that when he moved to Indonesia, it appears that he became an Indonesian citizen and would have had to become a naturalized US citizen, and that's counter to the Constitution. Divulging his records may not put this issue to rest because of his British and Indonesian nationality. Under the Constitution, he does not appear to be a "natural born citizen".

I have heard that the managers of this forum do not like the issue of Obama's citizenship qualifications to be raised. The freedom of speech to question even (especially) our higheert government officials is exactly what the First Amendment in the Bill of rights is intended to protect.

As a former law professor who advocated full freedom of speech in all of my endeavors, the government's efforts to limit or deny full access to the best evidence regaring a specific Constitutional requirement for the office of President makes me more, not less, interested in the issue. If Obama is a natural born citizen, why doesn't he end the birth question by providing a legitimate certificate instead of spending millions to battle the pending court cases. Verification of Constitutional eligibility? Ok I have a question and something to point out. The question is, how many people would be sad to see the president leave office if it turned outthat he wasn't eligible to be President? I have a feeling that not many on this thread and others insisting that he produce his birth certificate would mind at all.If he did produce said documents I'm sure they would say that he's the President. He could order some very convincing documents be made up to that effect so I don't see those desiring proof of citizenship ever being satisfied. Concerned Citizens must start SOMEWHERE. If the Chief Executive is a fraud, then there will be a lot of culling to do. This isn't as simple an issue as a hanging chad in on a pile of ballots in Florida. I'm a Republican and I felt Bush was a disgrace! A child cannot enter kindergarten without it, yet we are still speculating about the documentation of the most powerful man in the world - and quite possibly the biggest fraud. In fact, if this were a run of the mill government job requiring any level of security clearance, someone would have made a copy of the birth certificate, driver's license, social security card, immunizations records, and school transcripts (and maybe more documents), then actually call all the schools, employers, and references. As for two, I don't think I would be willing to suspend the parts of the first and fourth amendment you cited but would be willing to suspend the eighteenth and twenty-first amendments as they don't matter anymore, as well as the parts of the second amendment that are always emphasized and the twelfth and twenty-fifth amendments can go too. The document has flaws...mostly because the country has outgrown the times that it reflects.

The issue of where he was born is irrelevant. The only applicable issue here is did he meet the criteria for being considered "natural born", and the answer to THAT question is "NO".

In 1961, to be considered natural born, if only one of your parents was a US Citizen (as was the case with Soetoro), that parent was required by law to be at least 21. Soetoros mom was only 18.

Aside from this, a COLB issued in Hawaii in 1961 didn't mean anything, they were issued routinely to people born outside the USA who came to Hawaii.

Only the long form birth certificate showing the exact time of birth and the name of the physician doing the delivery constitutes proof of where someone was born. Snopes is hardly an unbiased source of information. They never return email or phone calls when queried by people who disagree with them on anything.

Allegations of news stories from a "Hawaii paper" posted on the web are utterly meaningless, theres no way to verify their reality, but again, none of this means anything, the only meaningful issue here was did he meet the criteria for being considered "natural born" and the answer is an unequivocal "no".

Simply put, a person with only one parent a US citizen is not Natural Born by definition, no matter what: never. Obama's hidden birth certificate could prove or disprove only his ordinary citizenship.

That ski.org site providing the excerpt of their basis of the definition doesn't explicitly say both parents have to be US citizens, but that children of citizens of this country are naturally born.

To the first response, I think the law should be changed with a grandfather clause if it hasn't already. Basing someone's birth right of citizenship based on the age of their mother is, as you put it, utterly meaningless.

Based on what I see and what I've seen, I believe the birth certificate is a forgery. As far a posting information in a news paper, who submitted it? When was it submitted? Who's address was listed in the paper? When it comes to anouncements, this information isn't researched. How come the seal is on the back of the certificate? How come the signature stamp is on the back of the certificate? Doesn't make sense. Maybe when Obama had the green paper certified and seal added and then put it into a printer and had put it in backwards and it printed on the wrong side. You do not certify a document in this way. What was Alvin T. Onaka's signature stamp and seal doing on the back of the document, there is nothing printed on the back to certify. I was taught, when I worked for a clerks office how to certify documents, and this is not the way you do it.

Just a quick glance at Wiki told me that he was born in Honolulu Hawaii in 1961 of a father who was born in Kenya and a Mother from Wichita Kansas. Oh his school career is listed in there too.

Over the three and a quarter years I was a recruiter, I handled probably fifty or more certificates of live birth, as well as naturalization certificates. I had to have them to enlist or commission every single applicant, to serve in the Marines. The President is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, one cannot have a legitimate lower standard for officers than for enlisted, nor a lower standard for the highest office, than lower offices.

Any citizen who does not care about this issue has lost sight of the fact this Nation is a Nation of Sovereign Citizens, and it is our authority which is wielded by elected officials, not authority inherent in the office nor in the person, but the express consent of The Governed.

I recently had to supply a live birth certificate for my son to get his Cherokee card. They would not take the copy that the hospital supplied me that I came home with. The "Birth Certificate" that you refer to is a "Certification of Live Birth" which at the time could be given to any child entering the state of HI., and is missing critical information that would be on the longform "Certificate of Live Birth", such as the name of the father and mother, the date, time, and location of the birth, and the attending physician. I served on recruiting duty from 1991 through 1994, recruiting out of Richmond, Virginia. If you got in the service, you showed a certificate that had a state seal embossed in it, and had a day, date, hour, minute, record, with the doctor's name, the hospital, and other form data, including race and parent's race until just a couple of decades ago. A hospital issued birth certificate had to be taken to the department of records, and from it, the state certificate was recorded, and a copy provided.

I put several non-citizens in who enlisted under a program that allowed them to serve a term of four, and if they got out honorably, gain their citizenship status as a naturalized citizen. They had to have the certification of the legal alien status, in order to apply.

I don't have the Marine Corps order number handy, having retired about a dozen years ago, however they were exactly the same as they were when I enlisted in 1976. I also know that I had to get a SSN to get a job before I was sixteen, and had to have a certified birth certificate to get that. To get my then Illinois driver's licence, I had to show my SSN card, the original, and either my certified birth certificate, or another form of identification with a picture and certifying I was a citizen of the state and thus the nation.

While they don't check them very hard the last time I got my license, I know we ran all of what we did through the most thorough inspection, and every applicant got a full FBI background investigation, regardless of MOS or whether enlisted or officer.

Our status with other nations determines whether we accept their documents as equal to ours, so the "certificate of live birth" is a form offered in some states to be issued to babies adopted from nations whose official forms are not accepted, or don't exist in a lot of cases, and provide a legal, official certification for when it is needed, however it, in and of it's self proves a person with one is not a "natural born citizen", because what would be the "other" form of birth certificate which is also not usable for this specific purpose is the civilian hospital issued one. That one, however bears the hospital name, the doctor's name, date, time, State and City of birth, which are all necessary for one to get the state certificate, but in and of its self, is not a "State Certified Document" as required by our regulations. It would certainly qualify for the purpose of the office of president, because it would, again, identify the State, City, Hospital, day, date, time, and place of birth, even if the "official one is necessary just for the sake of the "rules", and there would be no hue and cry for a certified one, because a legitimate hospital one would show where he was born, and whether he is capable of being a natural born citizen. If you read the one posted on his web site, you cannot tell where he was born in any way. The last time I looked, some three or four months ago, the one posted was a clear forgery, and easy to prove such as it was, on the web, as was it's predecessor.

I was a U.S. Navy Recruiter twice, once as an enlisted recruiter for three years (1995-1998), and once as an officer recruiter for three years (2000-2003), both times in Philly.

I can assure you and anyone else who cares to know:

All military applicants have to provide “Original” or “Verifiable True Copies of their Birth Certificates, as part of the basic application paperwork.

Maybe different during your Vietnam era service but this is so at least since 1982 when I first joined the Navy.

Having also been a Hawaiian resident myself, during my 23.5 years of active military service, I guarantee you that my sons, both born in Hawaii, would not be able to get into the military with a "Certificate of live Birth as shown as "Obama's Proof" of citizenship.

As of last year when we hosted a Navy Recruiter to meet with my son and nephew about a year ago, they still required a verifiable true copy or the original Birth Certificate.

Now make no mistake when I say a “Verifiable True Copy” I mean it must be State issued. I made numerous trips, while a Recruiter, to the Government Building on Spring Garden and Rt 611 in Philly to obtain what we as recruiters called a “Birth Verification”

In which we had to “pay” for a State Issued and State Verified and Certified “copy” of the applicants Actual Birth Certificate.

For Example:

If I was recruiting a person from another state then I would contact a local Recruiter near the “Government Office” for that state that handles such matters to obtain that applicants “True and Verifiable State Issued Copy”.

Additionally all military applicants and federal government employees must fill out and swear (or affirm) true with their repeated signature (and initials on every page) of the same document the "SF-86" (Standard Form 86) This (at a minimum) 12 page document (when blank) each applicant must list all schools attended (including abroad), all addresses lived at (including abroad), all trips abroad (every single one!), all passports held, all States in which the applicant has held a “Drivers License”.

On this “Application Form” you must list multiple References -at least three different references for each category, totally at a minimum in most cases nine different references, with verifiable contact information) for addresses lived at (including abroad) and jobs held, including your immediate supervisors name and contact information.

Additionally all “Proof Documentation” will accompany the “Application” such as Driver’s Licenses, State or other forms of valid ID , Transcripts for all high school(s) and/or College(s) attended we must site and verify the “Originals” including the applicants Social Security Card (I have personally spent many long hours in lines at the SS Admin Offices to obtain the originals). We then make copies of all the original documents (Certified by the Military Entrance Processing Center’s military equivalent of a Notary Public) Prior to returning the documentation to the Applicant.

This form then goes to the NSA (or whichever Governmental entity now does it) for what is called an “Interim Security Clearance” in which they run a computer “Red Flag” check pending further investigation (if any flags are found) for any future Security Clearances.

Thorough, Substantial and Official “Proof of Documentation” is 100% required of all Military Applicants as well as Applicants for Federal Government Employment!

The “Proof of Documentation” you cite comes from Snopes and Factcheck and Obama’s own, “Fight the Smears” website are not lies but half truths. Please read the Articles again.

The Truth is that a “Certificate of Live Birth” or “COLB” is not a Birth Certificate and is even unacceptable as such in the State of Hawaii itself, and certainly unacceptable for Military service or Fed Gov employment.

The State of Hawaii Governors office did not “Verify Obama’s Citizenship” or that he was even born in Hawaii. They merely verified that there is an “Actual Birth Certificate” on file.

Also the “COLB” they display online has been PROVEN a fake by document experts and the person hired to Photo-shop it for the “Fight the Smears” website has come forward and Identified it as a computer generated Forgery that he himself had created which he was hired and paid to do so.

Do not forget, Sir you once took an Oath to Support and Defend the Constitution, a stipulation of which is absent as pertains to the current usurper parading as the Commander In Chief.

It is a fact of his official biography, that his first (biological) father was not an American Citizen. Nobody in the world insists otherwise. Therefore Obama is not a Natural Born no matter what. Fact 1: Obama's father was Kenyan and a British subject.His mother a US citizen was 18 years old and under the law at the time (1961) she did not have "standing" for Obama to be a US citizen.

I just wanted to share with all of you the results of my Freedom of Speech test. In just 2 days I got responses from a number of you on my previous posts. I knew if I said, do not send me a response, that you would do exactly that for my test. I took some information that I found in a number of different posts on the internet, and I put them into a couple of New Idea posts. Issues talked about several times over by different Americans across the nation. I found most Americans are very blunt to speak their minds on internet posts, that is why I did the same in my test posts. I combined some wrong information and correct information together. I needed to get a response, and honest reaction, from all of you, and it worked like a charm. I knew this would be the perfect platform to get the information I needed for the test.

I found that:

79% of Americans would suppress his fellow man's freedom of speech rights in America.

89% thought the posts offensive, and had some very unAmerican, rude, and abusive things to say in return to a complete stranger.

55% agreed with part of the content to a certain extent.

97% of Liberals just can't stand to be called names by a complete stranger, but don't hesitate to call that stranger a few names, or even threaten that person themselves, in their responses. This shows the severe lack of tolerance, and the abusive nature of the Liberal party, towards their fellow man.

34% of Conservatives thought it was funny to make fun of Liberals.

45% thought I was crazy and should be locked up.

67% agreed with part of the content in the post, but pointed out the wrong information, and some of the offense language or content.

90% of Conservatives were kinder in their responses to my posts, but critical of my language and wrong content. This shows the higher morals and values are still in place in the Conservative party is still true. Treat your fellow man as you would want to be treated, but point out where they are wrong in their thinking or information.

62% of Americans threatened me in one form or another. We are getting to be either a Big Brother, intolerate, and a violent nation.

17% of Conservatives thought my content was racist, or called me a racist.

96% of Liberals thought my content was racist, or called me a racist.

Word from the tester: My mom gave me some very good advice years ago with I was a young girl. I have tried to live by it ever since. But I research all the time, and the blogs and posts I see daily really opened up my eyes as to how much America has changed in the last 50 years.

To halinator 11, the misuse and abuse of words is the first refuge of a scoundrel. Talking about "bloodlines" in this issue is a red herring. The fact of the matter is, McCain's birth history was researched, verified, and certified by the U.S. congress, simply because he was born in the Panama Canal zone, son of two American Citizens, which automatically confers natural birth on the child, but at the same time, on what is legally sovereign American Soil, as the zone was at the time. It was also a military facility, a further bit of support as sovereign territory.

At exactly the same time, with the exact same question, not a single governement, nor democratic party entity made any attempt at all to supply evidence of Sotero's "natural birth", but immediately started in with the legal challenges to the question, which continue to this day, and are still being adjudicated.

The Constitution demands a "natural born citizen" for a precise and important reason: the President of the Nation must have this Nation as his or her first loyalty, and no reason to question that.

There is apparently no less need for that ensurance, given the acts of this man since he presumed office, than there was when that section, paragraph and sentence was written.

The question of his birth is legitimate because there is absolutely no bit of evidence in public display to suggest he has any specific birth place at all, none. At the same time, his paternal grandmother has stated unequivocally, that she watched his birth in a Mombassa, Kenya hospital, and was quite proud of this.

His father was illegally married to his mother, given he was already married in Kenya, which allows polygamy, so his father's status as a British citizen is less important than it otherwise would be.

I have read at least a dozen blogs suggesting the people blogging got a driver's license without showing any proof of citizenship, and I simply suggest all of those either don't remember exactly how they got it, or are deliberately lying. I have also seen several posts denying the fact that one must submit a certified copy of one's birth certificate to enter the military, since I posted that fact based on my Marine Recruiter experience. In those too, either the poster has forgotten or didn't notice what was required, or is lying. I have read a post of a Navy Recruiter who is either current, or just left recruiting, and his post verifies it has not changed since I left recruiting in 1994.

For his information, the only people who might be able to make that claim are not Vietnam vets, but only such veterans who were issued a serial number, before the military started using the SSN for one's serial number. A citizen must show a certified birth certificate to get a SSN, whether it be a natural birth certificate, or a certificate of naturalization. One can also get a SSN as a legal resident alien, for working purposes, however they must show they are a "legal resident alien" with Federal certified resident alien certification.

The bottom line is many of those who voted for this imposter simply don't want to accept they may well have made a great mistake and will not accept it.

The media via Dan Rather, attempted to make up a useful forged document to de-rail Bush's second run for election, but were exposed when it was obviously forged, and then The Media, via Dan Rather, stood by the story, saying the fact the evidence was forged did not mean the allegation was false. That is nothing but the attempt to bowl over opinion through sheer propaganda.

If the media were not biased, the question would have been asked of the Democratic party at the time of his applying for the nomination, as for his credentials, yet that never was asked. When he took the nomination, and became the Democratic contender, the rest of the election process assumed the Democratic party did its duty and secured the proper eligibility requirements and had gathered the required by law, documents. This is how every single election prior to this one was run, and did in fact happen.

It is the fact that the rest of America, those not in the Democratic party elite, assumed those in it, did their job that the failure occured.

That one has an affiliation should not alter their need to know the truth. If you are a democrat, not only should you be ashamed of your party's headquarters, but you should be demanding heads roll for having deceived you. This is true even were he found to be "natural born", because the obligation to "The People" was deliberately left undone. If you are not, you have lost your sense of principle and no longer believe the truth matters.

For all the rest of Americans, this is the most egregious violation of election standards in our history, and we should literally be up in arms over it.

A previous candidate has been disqualified on this very issue because he was thirty four years old, and did not fulfill the requirement to be thirty five years of age on the day of potential inaugeration. If lacking six months or a year matters, how can one's actual home of birth be any less important?

The bottom line is this: either he has a legitimate birth certificate showing he was born in Hawaii, and can simply show it and end the debate, or he can't end the debate with a certificate and must try to end it by intimidation, hiring lawyers, and issuing propaganda, and encouraging his supporters to make up propaganda and toss red herrings.

If he is a "natural born citizen", an American would have produced the certified State form to the Democratic Election Committee at his submission of application to run. The fact that he did not is evidence that he is by no means an American at all, but is in fact, an illegal alien.

Given that he last entered the U.S. from Indonesia, with his mother alone, and given he was an Indonesian citizen, as confered from his father adopting him, he would have had to go through the INS to legally enter the U.S., even if there were question about his citizenship at the time, and INS records are public, and do not show his having gone through.

So, even if he once had U.S. citizenship, but lost it when he was adopted, or became a dual citizen, as a few countries allow, the law required he be "naturalized", and any question of the status of previously held citizenship would have been subject to being determined by a government hearing, and public records would be available for to prove that.

The fact there are no INS records on him make him an illegal alien, no matter what else his status is. That no one noticed this until now is due to his deliberate obfuscation, and cannot be put down as an accident or any other excuse.

Indonesia was at war at the time he was a student and citizen there, and did not allow Americans to reside there, enter on an American passport, and his only entry was due to his step-father's citizenship, which is also the only basis for his admission to school there. All these things are facts beyond dispute.

When you suggest that Americans want to check out "his bloodlines", you are attempting to insult people and convince them to back off for fear of offending someone. As a Marine, I'm an equal opportunity offender, and I live by fact, not conjecture, by evidence, not anecdote, and I am still bound by my oath to Support and Defend The Constitution of The United States, against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same. This man has proven himself to be a domestic enemy by his actions as a candidate, in lying throughout the campaign, and as the illegal alien resident, in violating more of the Constitution in the first hundred days in office that the Constitution has been violated since Thomas Jefferson was president. That too is a fact. If you don't like a Federated Republic, as our Constitution was written to implement as a form of government, there are plenty of other Nations you can available for citizenship. The Constitution is the foundation of the lawful Government, and it is the foundation of our law. By its own definition, every bit of "central government" which is not explicitly established in the words of the Constitution is illegitimate and illegal, and every law which does not cleave to the exact meaning of the Constitution, according to the meaning established by Noah Webster, one of the Constitutional Congress delegates, is "null and void at its inception".

It has come to the time when we, the Sovereign Citizens whose consent was presumed, must either take a stand and return our Nation to its rightful and lawful place, by returning to the limits of the Constitution, or find out the majority of the residents of this nation are not Sovereign Citizens, don't want the obligations of responsibility that go with authority, and become another of the quasi-socialist dictatorships that are the rest of the world.

If such be the case, I only hope there are sufficient Americans who refuse to surrender their Sovereignty to a bunch of lilly livered chickens who need a ruler, and will stand with me in armed revolt against those who are open enemies of The Sovereign Citizens, The Constitution, and ultimately, the Nation its self.

At this point, the central government is actually an open enemy of the Constitution abrogating its limits without even a blink, the appointed bureaucracy is equally guilty of treasonous acts by daily violation of the Constitution in almost every venue, and those who tacitly, or vehemently support it are equally enemies of the State, as they, as citizens, have the moral obligation to investigate before deciding, or to abdicate their sovereignty before the public, that we might know they are publicly not responsible for wrong done out of ignorance.

When one has authority one is either responsible, or irresponsible. There is no ground in between the two points, and Sovereignty is about authority, and having it. With the authority, by which we consent to be governed, we also have responsibility equal in power and constitution. All Sovereign Citizens have the absolute responsibility to guard our Constitution and our form of government, and have since the Constitution was ratified. We have an over-arching government, completely out of its bounds, an elected government which recognizes no bounds precisely because the responsibility of controlling these has not been exercised by Citizens in almost an hundred years. All those years of failure are no excuse for our current population to not learn the Constitution and take up their responsibility with far greater vigor than they have chosen to pronounce their Sovereign Citizenship.

If you wish to be an American, you must cleave to all the principles and precepts of such, and they are fixed and firmly established, unchanged in more than two hundred years. You are either aiming at returning our Nation to its rightful foundation, or you are in fact, a domestic enemy. I stand firm on my word, and I challenge all others to do the same.

Nothing will be done. The so called moderate republicans and the news is saying the republicans need to be a more open party or they will just be a party of the south, sounds like we only have one party now... the communist party. both the democrats and the republicans are trying to squeeze the conservatives out of the republican party for the one ruling party. You will not have choices, no voice and your freedoms are being deminished.

Has anyone read the book, "Seven Days in May". Need I say anything else to the military and my countrymen?
