I fully support the idea, but please don't spam the site with duplicate posts- it makes us look as bad as the birth certificate folks. Just vote for the two posts that are already at the top spots- #3 and #5. If we can vote those up the the top (again) they will at least start to get the message that we are serious and representative of a larger number of voters.
We are a group that is often marginalized and disqualified as a fringe minority of "dumb stoners." Spamming the site with duplicates only serves to detract from the already little credibility that we have with government- so please try to play by the rules and cast your vote in a manner that applies to guidelines of the site.
Marijuana is deemed by the US government to be an illegal substance. Until the law are either changed or modified there is no other response than one who is caught with the substance has committed an illegal act. Therefore that person is considered a criminal.

The so-called war on drugs has poured billions of federal dollars into local police organizations which previously had to scrimp and save for every new holster. These organizations immediately started to buy all the new police toys, saving just enough to buy airtime to explain all the complicated statistics that led to the need for all this new police stuff.

The president may chuckle if he feels that is appropriate, but it doesn't feel so funny when a guy in a ski mask has a machine gun at your head while his partner shoots your dog IN YOUR BEDROOM, or they kick down a door and shoot a mother in her head, through her childs arm. No sir Mr. President, not very funny at all.
We have spent enough trying to save people from themselves, it's time to make marijuana pay society, not the other way around. Legalize it, regulate it, tax it. Pot users usually get mellow and hungry, drunks get aggressive and combative. Which do you want to deal with? Think how much jail space it would open up if just the users were let go.
LEGALIZE MARIJUANA. laws are in place to protect the people not wage a war to make money. people that smoke marijuana want to smoke it, people that dont want to smoke marijuana dont. their should be education in place to teach the facts about marijuana but whats in place now just twists my stomach.

I agree with wemo.mike. No more duplicate posts. It definitely makes this serious issue look like all those deranged posts like the birth certificate issue and others by those same people.
Dont just sit on the couch. Contact your representation and let it be known that we the people have had enough of business as usual. Go to NORML or some equivalent site and there are letters to the people who represent your area. All you have to do is click on the link and the rest is automatic. IF YOUR NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION, YOUR PART OF THE PROBLEM!
If you are using, buying or selling the substance, you ARE a criminal. And a loser, as only a loser has to depend on a foreign substance to anesthetize themselves in order to get through the day. You would do yourself and the rest of us a favor by getting clean, dealing with your problems and becoming a productive member of society.

One episode actually crunches the #'s on the stats which favor MJ as legal over all the other "drugs" which do lead to violent crimes and Alcohol related crimes.
MJ is in the lingo of one of the past States I have lived in "Mo Better".
YES Sirree !!! all drugs should be legalized and everyone that wants to use them will get a state and federal tax permit to use them, you will carry it around just like a drivers' licence, that information will be on the public record so I can know who all you drug addicts are. Of course you will have to be 18 to get one and if you get caught giving your stash to a minor, it will be just like being a pervert and you will spend the rest of you life in jail. But what a goal to work for, man won't it be great, young people can endeavor to strive to be potheads, you turn 18 run to your local pot office get you card and grab a stash.
Then I will not have to spend any more money on drug tests for my employees and will not have to worry anymore about hiring drug abusers, all I will have to do is call the local drug permit office and see if that person is a user or has been and I will not have to worry about hiring them. Cause the idea of pothead using a table saw, flying a plane, driving an ambulance, running a cash register, counting inventory, cleaning the toilets, just thrills me to no end!!!
Also since abusers will be a risk to the public health they will not be able to get drivers licences as we do not need pot heads passing out at intersections in their cars in the middle of the night or having to worry about them destroying their hearing when they get in the car in the morning and the stereo is at full blast.
In a short time all crack, meth, and herion users will be dead from heart failure as the government will supply the best medical grade drugs that can be made.. ah what a high they will get to have, what a life, ah this sounds so exciting!!!! ( this group of user will find employment in political life as their ability to tell the truth becomes severely impaired)
Pot users will not be far behind as the incredible munchies will cause them to grow to gigantic proportions and they will sink into their couches suffocating.( this group will be the new dependent voting class as their ability to discern the truth amazingly goes away)
This could also be applied to people who like to drink, that way I can know how much they use and if they are drinking a 12 pack every night I can give them the boot too, as they when they are at work they aren't really there. America will again soar in worker production surpassing even China.

It's easy to make up jokes about stoners because, as the government has drilled in to your head, we're all lazy, incompetent, and have no ambition. I lost my father for a total of six years because he was in possession of a relatively small amount of marijuana. We went without a lot of things most people take for granted, like: school clothes, haircuts, food, etc...The only thing he did was possess a plant that in most Midwestern states can be found growing in the ditches. (Which, by the way, were remnants of the hemp plantations that once populated those areas.) My father smoked marijuana around us from the time we were born. Not once did I have any idea that it made you feel good, get high etc. Not once did I even think about smoking weed. UNTIL, I got into junior high and the say no to drugs campaign came rolling into town and burned a pound of pot on the table to show us what to stay away from. If my father hadn't had the good sense to tell me and my brothers that we shouldn't speak about it, I would have stood up and told the teacher that the officer was full of it. My father never got belligerent, lazy, stupid or start using other drugs(that I new of) like the officer as telling us it would. What they did teach me was that MJ got you high! Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't get a contact high. After sitting in a decent sized classroom with about a pound of MJ smoldering on the table for thirty minutes you definitely can. My mother called the school cause when I got off the bus I reeked of weed and my eyes were demolished with veins. The school claimed that the MJ had been treated with something and didn't get you high. After living with a MJ user for 15 years I think she had a pretty good idea if I was stoned. The upshot is that my father missed my graduation, his first grandchild's birth and his freedom. For what?
Who did his actions hurt directly? Who was the victim his crime was perpetrated against? The answer: no one.

legalize this valuable herb. has killed zero in 4000 years. its good for recreational as well as medical uses. the war on drugs is a war on americans ,not drugs. pot is not a drug,its an herb. cant lump it in with coke or meth. not even in the same catagory.
