OpenGov - Open Government Brainstorm

I feel we need to give this site and its concept a chance. It remains to be seen if President Obama and the administration do anything about what appears here. For example, will Obama- as a result of THE major idea here - open up his press briefings to questions about his birth certificate, college records, health records and other personal records he has not made transparent to the USA public.

ricardomigrant- The last time the big 0 asked for input from the people the #1 was about marijuana and he ridiculed the people who suggested that.

He sent his spokesperson out to laugh at anyone who questions his eligibility and is incapable of reading the bills he signs into law or executive orders he created because of the national emergencies.

He used an executive order to close Gitmo with absolutely no plan as how to go about it.

Aside from being ineligible he's also incompetent and derelict in his sworn duties as president.

He goes on national TV and says we are broke and then takes his old lady to New York to party it up because she's tired of all of the parties in the White House already.

Isn't it great how his Democrat-Majority Congress slammed him on the Gitmo closing funds? I had to laugh out loud. He thinks he's a dictator!("I won", implying that his was the only opinion that counted).

Actually, he got happy comments from Hugo Chavez, that said he(Chavez) and Castro are just to the "right" of Obama, and praised Obama's government takeover of a humongous private company like GM.

YES.

If actions are not taken on our behalf, it is one more item in the arsenal against his transparency claims.

Our entire legal system is built around giving the accused the benefit of the doubt. It has it's faults, (such as in many rape cases) but like it or not - we are innocent until proven guilty.

How do you build a legal case to prove your point? Do you wildly sling accusations and spam websites or do you collect and examine evidence and build substantive arguments around it?

"I suggested (constructive idea X) which was backed by many, but HE did not act on it and only made excuses." Carries a lot more weight with voters than "I forcefully demanded HE give me something I wanted and HE ignored my angry accusations and insults."

I'm so glad that the Rush-publicans are now in the fringe of American society. It's so humourous just how clearly ignorant most of these comments are.

1. President Obama is not ineligible to be the President and I'm assuming that this is in reference to the birth certificate rumor (http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/birthcertificate.asp)

2. The dictator accusation is so far fetched, especially after 8 years of the Cheney presidency.

3. What a bunch of jealous people. President Obama takes his wife on a long deserved date night (one night) and the right wing-nuts go wild. President Bush took 487 days of vacation at Camp David and 490 days in Crawford, TX during his presidency...this is all public record. Look it up. Wow, a night out for the President...what a slacker.

4. I would challenge all the nay-sayers to do some research and critical thinking before posting such nonsense. Suggestion: Try listening to someone other than Rush or Liddy, and try watching a real news channel (FOX entertainment does not qualify as the news)

Brian- please link me to the statement from 0bama that the document posted on the web is his, came from his files, or is accurate.

Failing that, learn to think for yourself.

If I am sitting in a car you might think it is mine but unless I tell you it is mone you do not know.

Right now you do not know if the document posted on the web belongs to 0bama because he never told you it is. If he cannot personally lay claim to that document, why do you believe it is his?

To the author of this idea- the current administration already knows who I am from my daily letters to them asking him to clear up this matter by telling us the birth document on the web is his, or came from his files, or is accurate.

Even after more than 100 letters he and his minions have failed to respond which to me is a tacit admission that the document on the web is not his, did not come from his files, and is not accurate.

Unfortunately, I can't get a private audience with the President of the United States. I'd love to meet him someday, but I don't have his number in my speed dial quite yet.

The truth is, the majority of these far fetched rumors that you hear originated from email chains.

This is my last post on this funny, but sad rumor.
