So now I'm reading that the this site is purging all references to releasing the long form birth certificate...
Wow, beside the issue being important itself, the fact that the new administration was promising "transparency" in it's activities and is now censoring people (essentially) when they are asking a question.
Talk about sticking your head in the "sand". (Yes, all inferences and puns intended!)

As you may know, there has been a large uptick in activity on the Open Government Dialogue in the past several days. The user community has flagged many recently posted items as inappropriate or duplicative, and these flagged items are currently pending moderator approval. Because of the recent surge in user postings, there is a large backlog of items that the moderators are working diligently to clear.
Per our moderation policy, any post that is duplicative or contains obscenity, threats, or personally identifiable information will be removed from the site. Contrary to some claims made in posts on this site, we are not censoring ideas that do not violate this moderation policy.
We appreciate your understanding and patience.
Thank you,
The National Academy of Public Administration
We should all appologise for requesting ("personally identifiable information"'s name here) birth cirtificate.
No, but you can quit posting the same birth certificate thing over and over and over.
Duplicate posts and SPAM posts will be removed from the site. It isn't censorship, it's to keep the forum from becoming so cluttered with useless posts that people can't navigate it anymore.
QUIT with the duplicates and spam already, people. One idea on each topic is plenty, thanks.
I wasn't duplicating a "birth Certificate" post. I used it as an example of the lack of transparency we were promised during the campaign.
Sheesh - touchy touchy...
Why can't the "birth certificate" folks simply vote on one post expressing this idea? It seems that they did not read the rules which state, very clearly, that duplicate posts about the same idea will be removed. It clogs up the system and makes it more difficult for those of us who actually want to participate because we have to sift through the same post over and over again.
