No some revisions "might" be needed to protect American citizens. But let's keep the pressure on the terrorists.
bellevuedan, how is "terrorists" defined? What constitutes one to be considered a "terrorist"? Terrorism is an act, an idea. Now I'm not saying that we shouldn't be guarded by people, organizations, etc. What I am suggesting is a better way. Better than the taking of liberty. Benjamin Franklin said, "Those who give up a little liberty for a little security deserve neither and will lose both". It's very likely that the reason other people hate us is because of our foreign policy. If we would stop trying to dictate what values others follow, if we stop being the world police and instead open ourselves to dialogue and trade, sharing sharing compassion and knowledge there might one day not be any need for anything to protect us from "terrorists" because there would be none. Hate and anger does not cease by hate and anger but only by love and compassion. You wash out grease by adding more grease....

Bellevuedan, do you know what habeas corpus means? It means to produce the body for a hearing on the facts, and our Constitution still says that habeas corpus is NOT to be suspended. Guess what, your son will sit in that prison and rot because the so called P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act has suspended the Constitution!
