The Congress should reflect the general population of the USA, not the ABA. There are too many lawyers in Congress. No lawyers should be allowed in any future election until the lawyers in Congress have been reduced to 20% of all Senators and Representatives.
Once the 25% level has been reached some lawyers should again be allowed to run.

We have three branches of government today: Executive lawyers, Legislative lawyers, and Judicial lawyers. Where is the separation of powers? Isn't the conflict of interest apparent on its face? I completely agree. Only you are too generous. Zero lawyers should hold elected office in the legislative and executive branches.
It's a definate concern, that lawyers are running congress.
(and apparently, the democratic party. since both of its recent candidates were laywers? !!)
Unfortunately, I dont think this is a forum that's going to be effective to change that.
