Drill, baby, drill!

Why Is This Idea Important?: Higher energy prices hurt the poor among us the most. Poor people already have it tough. Keeping fuel prices articfically high hurts them directly when they pay at the pump, and indirectly when they can't get a job. When poor, mostly minority people in one Alabama county have to shell out around 20% of their income just for gas to get to work and back it's just...bad.

Government now owns 2 of the big 3. Each will make smaller, more fuel efficient vehicles. The government is trying to make sure that gas prices keep increasing to make sure those cars are "what Americans want to buy".

I'm afraid the fix is already in.

But higher fuel prices will hurt the economy, and will hurt the poorest among us the hardest.

For the love of God, just let us drill here and drill now to lower the burden on everyone. Stop this ideaology-driven policy of making sure energy prices increase so that people will cut back on energy use and thereby curb man-bear-pig, uh...global warming, uh...climate change.

You are hurting the economy, and especially the poor. Stop it!

Let us use our resources for the good of all. Let us increase our manufacturing capacity, not reduce it or outsource it to other countries.

Drill, baby, drill.

Oh, and NO on cap and tax!

  1. There are many reasons to develop alternative energy sources.

There are NO reasons to avoid developing our own oil resources.

There are no reasons to avoid developing coal or nuclear energy sources, while developing the alternative energy sources.

  2. Drill and produce our natural gas too, being we're sitting on the largest in the world. I need to go back to work also. So thats even a better reason to start.
