A mechanism needs to be developed that would allow honest inquiry into questions of importance - like did the CIA lie to Congress - what caused the economic disaster in the USA, etc.
Under no conditions can we investigate these big questions with politicians or people appointed by politicians.
Bipartisan commissions will merely confirm that lots of people - other than politicians - caused the problems.
We need to have a database of people with various qualifications ready to investigate major issues. These people must be untainted by either political party.
Politicians cannot be trusted to investigate problems they helped cause - as was proven by the 9/11 commission.

I agree! Politician Commissions don't work in getting truth. Any commission has to be randomly appointed outside of the political arena. Remember the Warren Commission? We still don't officially know who killed Kennedy. Remember the 9-11 Commission? Why is it now proven that the World Trade Center was taken down by Demolition and not by the crashed airliners or by the claimed fire. The very same thing happened with the Iran/Contra scam that Senator Hamiliton also "softened" and the most of the criminls got away with out even a public mention, just as he helped do in the 9-11 commission as well.
When they do hold discussions and hearings they only invite their own voices.
The political citizen action groups are the only "other voices" out there. Why can't we vote on expensive plans and policy? It's not like the begining of our country where the vote was counted in the hinderlands of our country and took days to count.
