Believe it or not there is a law that states as the population expands more representatives should be in Congress (one representative not to exceed every 30,000 people).
They have not kept up resulting in 650,000 people for every representative. Not since 1901 or so has Congress added many. It's a dangerous concentration of power to the few.
If Illinois had 30,000 people (population 12,901,563) for every representative we would have 430 representatives in Congress. Right now we have 18. NC for every 30,000 people (population 9,222,414) would have 307 representatives. Right now you have 13.

Try and talk with your representative on the phone. They are too busy and ignore us.
Oath of office and Constitution? Forget it. We do not have "representation for and by the people" right now. It is representation for the corporations who give them money (who write the laws and give positions after office).
With so many representatives they would have trouble paying them all. Our voices might be heard. Our representatives not think they are kings and queens with so much arrogance we can't stand most of them.
It is a violation of our right to representation at this present number in the House.
Now this is something to think and write about!!

If they go back to not getting a salary to do the job of representing their people it might work out a whole lot better than what is going on now.. Our fore fathers all had an occupation. And they governed because of a love for their country. The people in the white house now care nothing for you and I the small guy.. because they have not had to live in our world for a very long time. Yes we need limited terms for congress and senate and they need to do it for the love of their country... not for the paycheck... that they gave themselves. lets go back to the beginning....wipe them all out and start clean.... with people that care... and they should all be citizens of this country...not foreigners.

Read between he lines, stevensje. Why do you think Obama has kept the census in the White House and nominated ACORN to work it? You will see more representatives, but the reapportionment will lean to the Left. He really does think we are stupid and don't matter. He has pissed away $trillions and is positioning himself for a second term. His Narcisstic Personality Disorder makes him feel superior with a sense of entitlemement and as being beyond reproach.
