Give citizens two weeks to review laws - especially spending bills - before Congress votes on the bills.
Do not pretend that spending bills of 100s of billions of dollars have to be signed immediately - before anyone ever reads them.

Members of the President's administration claim not to understand the rationale behind the tea parties. The "doubters" say that the original tea party was a protest over "taxation without representation" obviously that is not the case today because we have a popularly elected Congress. SHAME!!!
Any bill that is voted on without being read by our "representatives", as the "Stimulus Bill" was, is passed by a herd of sheep - NOT "Representatives". If the proposer of a bill "can't say exactly" what is in the bill, perhaps he or she should delay a vote on the bill until they are more familiar with it.
Perhaps all members of Congress should be required to pass a Civics class before assuming their duties. How many members of Congress - or the Administration - could pass the same test we give to those from other lands who wish to assume the duties of US Citizen??
Truth is as they banter the numbers around is that most eligible citzens do not vote.
Less than 45% of the eligible voting populace voted in the last presidential election.
In spite that Obama has stated on record that the majority elected him. this is a bald faced lie!
Personal reasons notwithstanding my reasons are that neither of the two media created candidates they put forward were worthy of my vote!
I also believe the Electoral College is a joke and an insult to those who do vote. Truth of the matter is that your vote absolutely positively does not count or make the slightest bit of difference. Truth is your entire state can vote one way in the election and your "Electoral College" rep can vote any way he/she chooses - even if it against the majority for the region/area they represent!
Our choices are limited, and our leaders are copies of one another, with slightly different faces. Can't say there's anyone in congress who listens or represents me. I never get answers to my questions; only canned letters talking PR about how good they are and how well they are serving me.
This is not the way to change. The nation is slipping away faster than we can avert oppression... so new thinking is required.
About posting laws 2 weeks before they are voted on...
It was interesting that the Obama's stimulus package (ARRA) was on line for weeks prior to voting by both houses.
After the voting, there was the reconciliation "conference" between house and senate folks, which actually was a a phone conversation between Geithner and a senator! During this conversation Title VII was added (Executive bonuses and compensation). This section was known and written months before the bill was introduced, and even before Obama was elected. But they added it on Friday, the new version was not available for review anywhere until after the signing by the president.
They got us coming and going. They will do whatever they like. Now they are even blatant about about marginalizing the public.
