Spending Our Money Like A Madman

Why Is This Idea Important?: My country may have a usuper in the White House.

Barrack Husein Obama is spending the taxpayers for generations at breaknect speed. Is this because HE IS NO A CTIZEN? Is he trying to spend as much as he can as fast as he can before he is forced to PROVE HIS CITIZENSHIP?

As hussein obama breaks the backs of more Americans, the more they will demand to know if this man is elegible to be comander in chief.

I had to produce a certified birth certificate to get a drivers license. WHAT ARE YOU HIDING OBAMA? WHY HAVE YOU NO RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR YOU AND PUT THIS QUESTION TO REST?

  1. It is ridiculous to keep harping on Obama's birth certificate. Does anyone actually believe he would have been considered for presidency had he not been a citizen? It is foolish to believe so. The repubs. would never have permitted it. NEVER, in a million years. I am sick of this debate. Surely, there are more important things everyone should be dealing with!

It is NOT rediculous to want to know if the man at the top is a citizen. If your obama had any respect for those that elected him he could easily put this to rest by proving his citizenship and opening all his records. Your question should be directed to him.

If the Republicans even posed the question your side would start screaming racist and entice the black population against them. You know it and we know it.

By the way there is nothing more important then knowing if the leader of this country is an usuper or not. You answer why he is hiding his records and birth certificate. WHY? There is only one answer to that question and it's not good.

sabylriverwish, to reference the title rather than the narrative of this thread; How do you feel about the fact that the current administration denounced the deficit created by its predecessors then proceeded to triple it? Do you feel it is acceptable for $.46 out of every dollar in the budget be borrowed money?

  5. Indeed, I do not feel that it's acceptable for our government to keep printing money. However, I do not feel that it can all be laid at the feet of Obama. I cannot conceive of an alternative in order to keep the country operating. President Obama was left with all the debts created by Bush, the carelessness of Clinton and Bush in not placing restrictions on Wall St. The enormous problems he inherited from his predessors cannot be dealt with and corrected for more years than I like to consider.

Ending the Iraqi war would be an enormous help and I hold him responsible for doing so.

Obama has spent more money in FOUR months than every president combined. Do you think he will ever mn-up and take responsibility for his actions or do you think he will go through his entire presidency trying to blame everything on Bush. "no mommy,Georgie did it"

One trademark of liberals is "take no personal responsibility" and Obamma is following the playbook.

sabylriverwish, the option I see is to back off and let those who cannot succeed on their own fall. The county as a whole is strung out on debt. Like any other addiction, trying to taper off only extends the suffering. Lets just go through the kicking and screaming of withdrawal now and start over with clear minds.

I do not believe that the problem is all the current administrations fault. However, they wanted the job and got it so they are responsible for fixing the problem if its is unpleasant.

  8. Certainly there are minds more adept at dealing with the mess our country faces than you and I.

So, your proposal would be to let the present administration fall on its face; the country experience "withdrawal" and start again with clear minds. Pray, tell me what you think would occur? From where would you obtain the funds to put America on the right track?

Anyway it's examined, it looks as if another great depression cannot be forstalled. If so, the first one will seem like a party in comparison. The population of the country has experienced an enormous increase. If such should evolve the people would encounter desperate times. Desperate people do desperate things. I have been informed that there are 25,000 troops training to deal with civil unrest at Ft. Benning, GA.

Yes, I've strayed off topic but I see no reason to keep hashing over the same old, same old. If you have answers to your proposals I'd be interested in hearing them.

I did not intend to indicate anything about letting the administration fail. I was suggesting that the administration stop attempting to protect private companies from the consequences of their own failures.

We need to learn from the depression to avoid repeating it. Increased taxes and tax payer funded charity, drove the county further into depression. Why are we attempting to repeat a failed approach?

  10. Permit me to suggest that you write to the president with your personal concerns. It is entirely possible that he may read and reply to it.

I do not intend to give the impression that I'm all in favour of President Obama's spending. I haven't been in favour of the spending of any leader for a long time. History shows us that we're headed towards a brick wall. Common sense tells us that the course must be altered lest we hit it full force.

Who is to blame? We, the people. We, the complacent, comfortable, spoiled-rotten people! Our ancestors recovered from the great depression through blood, sweat and tears. Eventually, television and easy chairs appeared on the scene and Washington was all but forgotten. We bore children and gave them everything humanly possible. Everything but a sense of responsibility for their country. Only the very fortunate youngster nowadays knows anything about nature and survival should he be called upon to survive on his own. It's a long, sad story.

Pardon my rant but it's all true. If a fire can't be lit amongst the people enmasse, I fear that we debate a lost cause.

I agree with most of your points. However, my point is that repeating and expanding upon the unsuccessful actions of the past (social security and welfare) cannot possibly help.

  12. I wholeheartedly agree that the wealthy should not receive social security. [I personally know several people who receive hefty SS checks each month yet they live in mansion type homes.] It should be disbursed as needed; to the physically and mentally challenged and the elderly who depend on it primarily for survival. I do NOT believe that our tax dollars, in the form of welfare and food stamps, housing subsidies, etc. should be dished out to forigners who land on our shores knowing full well that our government will take care of them. Firstly, this accounts for the expansion you cite. Lastly, to completely axe these programs would create chaos. Yes, I know; let them experience withdrawal and learn to survive on their own. With no job market left in the country, what work is available to pay the high cost of living? Rather than opening my door to gun bearing people looking for means of existence, I am willing [if grudgingly] able to sacrafice.

No doubt about it, war is the primary thing that's breaking the back of America. The previous administration should be taken to the Hague and tried for crimes against humanity. Nothing can justify their actions. Of all the outlandish lies told to get us to attack Iraq; still there were not brains enough in the whole gang to have Bush's WMD planted and discovered in the country. Reveals tomes about the intelligence that "led" America for eight years.

I do editing and research for the website, Cooperative Research. It is dedicated to finding the truth of 9/11.

If welfare were cut off tomorrow, and its recipient were allowed to work or starve, they would find work. I see "now hiring" signs everywhere in Houston. Also, they would quickly displace illegals in all those jobs that Americans supposedly won't do.

I have trouble with your assertion that war caused the crisis in the economy. War was the only thing that pulled this country out of the last depression.

"Rather than opening my door to gun bearing people looking for means of existence, I am willing [if grudgingly] able to sacrafice"--

Giving up your money to someone to keep someone from robbing you at gun point still makes you a robbery victim. Just be ready to defend your home. Think of it as a public service. If all those who are willing to victimize others are killed in the attempt, we are left with a better society overall. Good people do not become robbers, no matter how poor they are.

  14. I see no reason to continue this debate. I perfer to deal with reality rather than conjecture. Perhaps there are "now hiring" signs in Houston. A rarity, indeed. With 350,000 jobs lost last month alone, the economy cannot be looked at through rose colored glasses.

A reality check for me: If I had children that I could not provide food for, I'd damn sure do my best to obtain it. I am a good person.

That war is the only thing that pulled America out of the last depression is a first for me. If so, that sort of work no longer exists. If one cannot see where the present wars are leading, for shame. A nuclear blast in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt or India would wipe out most of humanity, including America. The poison was designed to travel vast distances. It would kill the wildlife, the ocean and sea life, create earthquakes and tidal waves and destroy the wilderness. Thus, all the work designed to accomplish all this has already been done and war cannot possibly prevent another depression. It can only deliver us closer to the abyss.

    Here is some reality.

No conjecture needed. I have worked unpleasant minimum wage jobs. I have gone hungry to make sure a child was fed when there was not enough to go around. I did not resort to theft or robbery. I did not ask for welfare.

I submit to you that if you would victimize others rather than die with dignity, you are not as good a person as you believe you are.

Nuclear weapons are horribly destructive and I pray they will never be used again. However, one nuclear detonation will not wipe out most life on the planet as you claim. A large number of nuclear detonations MIGHT cause the cataclysm you predict, but that is back to conjecture.

The U.S. is far from the only country that possesses nuclear weapons. No matter what our country does, the possibility of nuclear conflict between other nations still exist.

Welfare states have always failed, going back at least as far as the Roman empire.

No conjecture. Just personal experiences, historical facts, and a response to your own personal observation.
