The current electronic voting systems have been concluded as lacking appropriate security due to design and software code issues. Open source software systems have been demonstrated as an inexpensive security solution. The country should move toward open source / paper ballot voting systems that displace the current proprietary code syatems. Fee waivers for open source systems, EAC appointments to those understanding transparency issues, and a reshaping of the currently broken certification process are all crucial elements of a proper solution.

Some may attempt to obstruct open source voting systems by alleging that it represents a "sale" to be made. These types do not understand the cost savings to the country bu moving to open source voting systems.
Others who obstruct maight pretend to wish for the abolition of all computers. This silly strategy is a mere red herring used for fund raising. We currently have computerized systems- and there is no sign of that changing.
We must be vigilant against all inside and outside forces attempting to obstruct upgrades to voting system security.
The main thing is there a way to verify that your votes were accurately recorded.
Post them online, and where you voted. You receive a random number when you vote, and look up that number online or at the polling place to make sure it was correct.
A person can lie and say they didn't vote such and such, but when there is a public outcry something is wrong.
