Independent Commission

Why Is This Idea Important?: The sub-prime melt down didn't just happen. It was the result of incredibly stupid and corrupt public policies. Americans have lost confidence in the federal government primarily because many of those responsible have never held accountable.

How about an independent commission to investigate the sub-prime mortgage mess that led to our current economic woes so that we can avoid the same mistakes in the future and so we can identify those responsible.
