For heaven sakes, this is a no brainer. I and every other citizen has to show my birth cetificarte to get a license - a passbport etc etc. Not a copy but the original with raised seal. I do not think it is asking too much for the president of the United States to provide Long Form - vault Birth Certificate to the people.

It is essential for mister Obama's credibility and further governing this country to provide proof that he was/ is eligible to be a US president.

Otherwise, any of his public acts (signing laws home, or treaties with foreign powers) can be at any time challenged at great expense, peril or loss of American lives.

In addition to this potential misery, he and his associates can be at any time called in an American court of law to answer criminal charges for raising $700 million dollars in electoral campaign funds from the public under a false pretense of eligibility.

The country needs a closure in this matter - and adressing this matter expeditiously would show true statemanship -

He can't produce a 'long form vault Hawaiian birth certificate' because he doesn't have one! He has a CoLB, or Certificate of Live Birth, which is not the same thing as a BC and proves nothing except that he was born alive, somewhere. This is because as a new state at the time, Hawaii often issued a CoLB even to foreign born children who were allowed to be brought to Hawaii and registered with the state, provided at least one parent was a legal resident of Hawaii. Even if he did have a real BC, it wouldn't matter since he can not be a 'natural born' citizen unless both his parents are also US citizens. His father is Kenyan. Oh, the webs we weave. The missing BC is really just an expedient way to demonstrate he lied about posting his BC, which one might expect from an illegal usurper!

Obviously calling onto question the constitutional eligibility of a sitting president is a serious matter, however our president is not above the rule of law. The Constitution is our greatest protection from abusive government. Throughout the history of mankind, political power has frequently been seized irrespective of the will of the governed, often violently. Perhaps owing to our imperfect nature, totalitarianism has more often been the rule, rather than the exception.

Our Constitution as first envisioned and ultimately realized by the benefits of both pen and sword, was founded as a heart felt invention of necessity by men so deathly tired of oppression, that they determined despite any cost, to establish our Constitutional Republic. With the Constitution, our Founding Father's planted a seed in soil richly nourished in blood, that with similar courage United States citizens might forever more be able to exercise their God given inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in at least one free and just nation upon the face of the earth.

Mr Gibbs is dead wrong. The one put on the website has been proven to be a fake by 3 different specialists. It was his sister Maya's certificate that was altered and used for Obama. It is not the long copy of the birth. We want to see the Long copy of certified birth to see if he was really born in Hawaii, or born in Kenya and registered in Hawaii. We are also questioning his adoption in Indonesia and his passport used to travel to Pakistan in his 20's when Americans were not allowed in the country due to a travel ban. We want the truth! Is he eligible for "POTUS" or not.
