so goes the pronouncements of some of the apes here, but their party just got kicked out.

The President of the United States is nothing but a balance/check in the administration's system. Maybe he's as weak-minded as the system's constant drone makes most of us, but I wouldn't blame the whole situation on just that one office!

There have been a few gaffs, ummm... ?? Failures to produce; e.g. policy transparency....????

The predicament of our country is not political in nature. The political manifestation is just one of its effects: people are not being capable of letting the politics away (republicans, democrats, you name it) and vigorously focus on the substance of our existence. The corrupt media plays a significant role in this complex national disease. As someone noted above, we haven't gotten here when President Obama got in the office. Previous presidents like Bush, Clinton, Carter, etc had their share. But make no mistake, no other president before Obama has had such a deep desire to harm this country, on all its fronts. In my estimation he has already done more damage to the American cause and image (I don't have the space here to justify this statement - but look back in the last 120 days) than all the other presidents put together. Don't buy off the lie that this is republican or democratic propaganda. Get yourself out of this mind-frame. Read the history, study how the fathers of this country established this nation, its independence and constitution - and you will probably notice that the number one threat they saw hundred of years back was a president of this type grabbing the power of this beloved country and driving it into ditch. Of course no one can ignore this insignificant detail, that democrats give him all the checks and balances he needs to complete his plans. That's why he is ready to appoint someone to the Supreme Court who will uphold not the constitution (make no mistake) but his exact views and long term plans. That might be the last drop that will ultimately put America on the peril path.

Though the author here is perhaps a little severe in discription of the President, I have to agree that Obama did run on Opening up Government, and he is not really as honest as we hoped for. US politic in this country is not any improvement over the worse of banana republics. I defend any attempt that might appear as anti-capitalist or marxist, as the Corporate gluttons do wield very too much monopoly and corruption with their having very too much power in our governent when they should have none at all. They must somehow be driven our of our government and taken out of their wrongful personhood status.

I have heard excerpts from a number of speeches made by the President on foreign soil. That I can recall, every one of them made apologies and expressed misgivings about the shortcomings of the U.S.A. I am wondering, Mr. President, is there anything in our history (before your term as President), that you would openly be proud of and express in a publicized speech on foreign soil and when will you do so? thanks very much

It's too bad that most of the respondants to this site are without any real ideas, only paranoid blathering. But there is one good point to it. At least their families and friends get some small break from the manical nonsence while they are here. the spirit that resides in the ape known as "buddy"

In response to honorable buddy holler's comment. Considering the decadence rate at which our contrary is corroding, political ideas are of no substance in comparison to a healthy survival instinct. Uttering genial political ideas while we waste away as a nation, has no benefit whatsoever, other than weakening our will to be the America the founding fathers intended it to be.

So, is a healthy survival instinct meaning teeth to the neck of your opposition, or somehow working with them? An inquisition with enhanced interrogation tech. or some reasonable diplomacy? buddy

Abortion should be legal only if applies retroactively to all who support it.

Though I do recognize the fact that Obama has difficulty matching his promises to deeds, I do agree with him on the point that the continual wars of Corporate greed do warrant appology to very many countries of the world. The need for any of the wars that the US undertook could all have been handled without murdering anyone at least in my long years. The ongoing wars right now, all were based on lies and created intelligence. There was no "foreign extremist" attacks on September 11, 2001, which is why torture was required to force the captives to admit to crimes they did not committ. Personally, I think the world would be a much better place to live if the US would downsize into about three countries, while at the same time all the nuclear weapons be taken apart and scattered in some otherwise useless dump. We certainly should counsel Obsama that our leaders certainly should not be the moral advisors for the world that is overall much more peaceful and lack our super corporate greed.
