McCain's parents were both U.S. citizens. The question with McCain's qualification was that he was born in the Panama Canal Zone while his father was posted there on active duty with the U.S. Navy.

Actually, I did know that. I am just about to head out on a major trip and didn't want to take the time to spell out all the details. They are all in Leo's blog. You don't have to be insulting.

Sounds more like you were actively attacking McCain to me. Don't really see where I was insulting to you, but your answer is an insult to our intelligence.

The question is: Can President Obama provide a legitimate birth certificate? The answer is probably not.

When we finally know the truth, and we will, will we declare null and void everything he has done and signed?

Of one thing we can be sure, the states next time will require proper documentation because it's apparent the national parties have not done the checks that obviously should have been performed.

Leo is absolutely correct! There are several reasons why Obama is an illegal usurper. Great job you're doing there Congress. It was your responsibility to check Obama's eligibility.

Obama can't produce a 'long form vault Hawaiian birth certificate' because he doesn't have one! He has a CoLB, or Certificate of Live Birth, which is not the same thing as a BC and proves nothing except that he was born alive, somewhere. This is because as a new state at the time, Hawaii often issued a CoLB even to foreign born children who were allowed to be brought to Hawaii and registered with the state, provided at least one parent was a legal resident of Hawaii. Even if he did have a real BC, it wouldn't matter since he can not be a 'natural born' citizen unless both his parents are also US citizens. His father is Kenyan. Oh, the webs we weave. The missing BC is really just an expedient way to demonstrate he lied about posting his BC, which one might expect from an illegal usurper!

Obviously calling onto question the constitutional eligibility of a sitting president is a serious matter, however our president is not above the rule of law. The Constitution is our greatest protection from abusive government. Throughout the history of mankind, political power has frequently been seized irrespective of the will of the governed, often violently. Perhaps owing to our imperfect nature, totalitarianism has more often been the rule, rather than the exception.

Our Constitution as first envisioned and ultimately realized by the benefits of both pen and sword, was founded as a heart felt invention of necessity by men so deathly tired of oppression, that they determined despite any cost, to establish our Constitutional Republic. With the Constitution, our Founding Father's planted a seed in soil richly nourished in blood, that with similar courage United States citizens might forever more be able to exercise their God given inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in at least one free and just nation upon the face of the earth.

1To Mr. Obama: Before we can offer you the job of President of the USA, we, like many employers, must see an offical copy of your high school & college transcripts and other academic records. This would include transcripts from all colleges & schools attended by you. In order to be certain of your citizenship status we need to see your passport, green card or birth certificate. This must be an offical long form version of your birth certificate which would have been filed by the health department shortly after your birth. I want to see Mr. Obama's long form birth certificate and his accadmeic records from elementary school attended outside of the US in Indonesia and Occidental College & Columbia Univestiy as well and also his passport. His college transcripts should be submitted, as we the people, are his employer and employers often ask for these items. Proof of citizenship, proof of academic completion. If he fails to produce these documents we could charge him with lying on his application for the job as President. By the Way, the certificate version stamped form 2007 which was submitted online and posted on the stop the smears website is unacceptable. I cannot accept this version from any client I work with in social services and I cannot accpet this version from anyone who wants to apply for the highest office in the USA. You will have a deadline by which these documants must be submitted and authenticated before WE the People can accept. That deadline is 30 days from this date (6/2/09). Failure to produce these documents will drastically impede your ability to run for elected office in the USA again. Thank you and God bless.

What Leo Donofrio probably didn't know when he wrote that, and has not to my knowledge publicly acknowledged still, is that editions of de Vatel's "The Law of Nations" published before and up to the year that the US Constitution was written, DO NOT HAVE the phrase "natural born citizen" in them. Not even close.

The whole citizen parents thing is a big historical fraud.

Leo Donofrio is a well respected attorney who has researched the matter very well. Please give us a link to a different version of Vattel - or a quotation with references that can be verified. Until then, I believe Leo.

Other than Chester Arthur who's father became a U.S.Citizen after Chester was born, Obama is the FIRST President who's parents were NOT BOTH U.S.Citizens (Natural Born Citizen) when he was born. There is a big difference between Native Born, Naturalized, and Natural Born Citizens. Obama seems to be NOT elgible to be President in accorndance with our Constitution. Am I wrong ?
