Even with the argument that your request has merit on this site. It certainly does not justify the manipulation of the principle of this site. Within minutes a coordinated effort to reapeatably post the same idea that is what is pathetic. It is an attack on everyone who comes here to participate.

A repetative posting of the same idea is a corrupt abuse of this site and the group forging ahead with this. The request you wish the president to answer does not belong on this site. And you and all the others who have posted this request as an idea know it.

I am not corrupting this site. I have made a legitimate request of the President, as have others. I am free to give my ideas, just as you to give yours that I may or may not agree with. Just because you do not agree, does not mean I am promoting hate. Though your comments to me are doing a pretty good job of it. klingspoon.troy, I have stated clearly my idea, and reasons why it is important. I believe this is that if the president wants to make government more transparent, he should start with this critical first step. John McCain was scrutinized for the same reasons, and Obama should get the same treatment. There may or may not be a group spamming this site. I am not aware, nor do I care if they are. Personally, I think spamming is immature and a sign of weakness. There are just a large number of private individuals(which is what I am, stating my own thoughts on the matter) that want open government and transparency, which is what the site was created to help establish.

With everything going digitial what would be acceptable since paper documents will eventually be a outdated as hieroglyphics and clay tablets?

Every American Taxpayer has a right to see the long form birth certificate of all presidential candidates.

President Obama rightly campaiged for openness and transparency in government and politics, shouting we need change from the rooftops.

He stated that he would be different from the Bush Republicans who were honest and open.

Since then he has spent hundreds of thousands of public donations to avoid showing his long form birth certificate to the people of the USA.

Until he shows his Long Form Birth certificate he comes across as a Liar and a fraud, hence the growing public agitation over the issue.

Its a matter of integrity and honestly over hypocrisy.

Obama is NOT eligible regardless...

The Birth Certificate does not matter. No matter where he was born, only his mother was a citizen. Two citizen parents are required along with birth ON U.S. soil, to confer Natural Born Status.

If the usurper was born in Hawaii he would only be a native born citizen which does not meet the Constitutional requisit to be president.

If he was born in Kenya his mother was not old enough to confer citizenship to him and he would not be a citizen unless he was naturalized; still not sufficient to meet the Constitutional requisit.

Question: What is the state's policy for issuing a "Certification of Live Birth" versus a "Certificate of Live Birth"? My first, second and fourth children received certificates, but my third and fifth children received certifications. Why the difference? The certificate contains more information, such as the name of hospital, certifier's name and title; attendant's name and title, etc. The certification has only the child's name, date and time of birth, sex, city/island/county of birth, mother's maiden name, mother's race, father's name and father's race. Why doesn't the state just issue certificates? When did it stop issuing certificates? Is it possible to obtain certificates for my third and fifth children?

Answer: No, you can't obtain a "certificate of live birth" anymore.

The state Department of Health no longer issues copies of paper birth certificates as was done in the past, said spokeswoman Janice Okubo.

The department only issues "certifications" of live births, and that is the "official birth certificate" issued by the state of Hawaii, she said.

And, it's only available in electronic form.

Okubo explained that the Health Department went paperless in 2001.

"At that time, all information for births from 1908 (on) was put into electronic files for consistent reporting," she said.

Information about births is transferred electronically from hospitals to the department.

"The electronic record of the birth is what (the Health Department) now keeps on file in order to provide same-day certified copies at our help window for most requests," Okubo said.

Asked for more information about the short-form versus long-form birth documents, Okubo said the Health Department "does not have a short-form or long-form certificate."

"The birth certificate form has been modified over the years and decades to conform to national standards and models," she said.

Okubo also emphasized the certification form "contains all the information needed by all federal government agencies for transactions requiring a birth certificate."

She added that the U.S. Supreme Court has recognized the state's current certification of live birth "as an official birth certificate meeting all federal and other requirements."

The issue of what constitutes an official Hawaii birth certificate received national attention during last year's presidential campaign. Those who doubted Barack Obama's American citizenship called the copy of the Hawaii birth document posted on his campaign Web site a fake.

Asked about that document, Okubo said, "This is the same certified copy everyone receives when they request a birth certificate."
