Read the Constitution Out Loud in both Houses ANNUALLY

Why Is This Idea Important?: Every year, bills are discussed without regard to the separation of power between the Federal government and the States government. Also new lawmakers arrive unaware of basic principles - they were elected for their charisma, and not their knowledge. A basic drill camp every year would help this country immensely.

Require mandatory attendance, require a session afterwords of applying what is heard to the last 12 months of legislation. Create an appropriate atmosphere of respect for the document which founded this great country!

One of the best ideas I've seen! Also we need legislators to be required to read every word of the documents they so blithely sign while changing our laws.

There a joke running through the media today that someone hired a speed reader in case the read-the-bill strategy was used in committee.

Your representatives are laughing at this expectation as well as laughing at the idea they should read bills before signing.
