I'm Not So Sure...

...and a "Certificate of Live Birth" is NOT the same thing as a "Birth Certificate" in that state. You can check this out for yourself via their own state websites.

I now live in Houston and two weeks ago had a chance convesation with a foreign student who is going to school here for Business. He is from Kenya. I asked him what do the Kenyan people think about Obama and all the controvery about where he was born? He got quiet and smiled a big white toothed smile against his dark skin and said, "Everyone in Kenya knows Obama was born there."

Can I prove his comment is true? No. BUT I can relay the conversation I had to whomever reads this.

If this were a court case - and many are trying to make it so with no success - I'd say the evidence is stacked against our President that he has not been "transparant" with information the American people should know.

I just fail to understand WHY this issue is so hard for him. It seems to be such a "no-brainer" and could make all of these comments go away. Simply produce the ORIGINAL Birth Certificate and College Transcripts with such corroborated information. That's all.

If he indeed was born here. Put my suspicions and seemingly a huge amount of others, based on posts here, to rest.

Be "transparant" with Government informationa as you say you wish to do, Mr President.

Why Is This Idea Important?

This idea is important because we are a nation that is governed by a Constitution. It is larger than any new ideas, political movements, or the changing tides of time. It stands as it is and serves to preserve us as America. No one should be allowed the freedom to circumvent it. The mere fact that there is a doubt about this should be enough for a court to allow the truth to be made public by allowing a case to be heard. Then we "wing nuts" would foerever be silenced or we would be proven correct in our suspicions. Why are people afraid to pursue the truth? That is all we are seeking. Not to be pacified, but un-denialble truth.

I don't sense any hate from anyone except you. Dealing with FACTS and EVIDENCE is not hate.. or is every court room in America full of haters? We have a right to face our accusers, the right to a speedy trial, the right to examine the evidence. We also have a right to a redress of grievances against our govenment. This is part of the legal system, it's called justice. All we are asking is for justice and for the charges to be heard on their merits, the evidence presented openly and examined with out bias. If you see hate in that you need to either study the Constitution or learn about the govenments of other countries where there is no justice, where women are killed for showing their ankles or being raped, and people's hands are severed for stealing a loaf of bread from a store or people are killed for changing their religion and freign correspondents are beheaded on live TV because a bunch of vigilantes decide that the person is an infidel(now that IS hate) You have no idea what hate is, this is mere disagreement which is perfectly legal here in America; the right to freedom of speech is found in the 1st amendment.

Are we to believe that even the hospital that he was born in should remain secret? Why lie to us as if it matters I mean the man did win the Presidential vote? Why the lies and secrecy?

We already know that Obama’s family and the entire nation of Kenya (which is about to have a national holiday for Obama) know that Barack Obama was born in Mombasa Coastal Hospital in Kenya. The government of Kenya has sealed these records. More and more secrecy due to the fact that once proven, Obama will not be constitutionally allowed to become President of the United States!

All of these were called from November 20 – December 2nd 2008. It is confirmed, OBAMA not born in any hospital in Honolulu County! NONE FACT!

The only reason I registered on June 1st is because I found out about this great website/forum, which appears to be a PUBLIC one via an ad i saw w/a link to it. Possibly many others saw the same advertisement. I think it is a great way to consider important topics and issues and some people have some very creative ideas to some complex problems. Why anyone thinks that I am a part of "concerted effort" any more than the next person who discovers this site is nothing more than narrow-mindedness.

It is also totally repugnant to think that I, or anyone else on this site, condones in the slightest the killing of the Abortion Doctor who was shot in his church, Sunday. I find what happened to the Doctor to be murder, as is the taking of a life thru abortion. I think murder is wrong and support LIFE. So, please don;t draw your circle of lunacy around me when you post.

I think it is telling and not "invasive" to see so many who have the same concern...simply prove that the allegations about your eligibility are false. It would be so easy to put this issue to rest, once and for all. Other politicians have had to do the same thing thru the years and simply produced the proper documentation to silence any further scrutiny. President Obama could do the same thing with one phone call. Instead, he has spent millions of dollars - it is documented, not speculation - on teams of lawyers around the country to see that this issue does not see the light of day in a court room.

Or that because he isn't a U.S. born citizen. Origins: In the first half of 2008, a number of rumors swirling around about presidential candidate Barack Obama coalesced in the claim that he "refused to produce his birth records" because doing so would demonstrate some or all of those rumors to be true: that Barack Obama was "not African," that he was a Muslim with a middle name of Mohammed, that he wasn't born in the United States at all (and thus didn't qualify as a native-born citizen), etc. In any event the rumormongers were likely to be disappointed. Information about religion and race, when it was collected for birth records, simply reflected whatever the parents identified themselves to be; those values weren't officially assigned to the newborn children as immutable labels. And of course, no infant has any control over whatever names his parents choose for him. As things turned out, when the Obama campaign made a copy of his Certification of Live Birth from the State of Hawaii available on the Internet in June 2008, it validated none of those rumors: The certificate shows his full name to be "Barack Hussein Obama II," it lists his father's race as "African" and his mother's as "Caucasian," it contains no information about religion, and it reports his birthplace as being Honolulu, Hawaii. Question: What is the state's policy for issuing a "Certification of Live Birth" versus a "Certificate of Live Birth"? My first, second and fourth children received certificates, but my third and fifth children received certifications. Why the difference? The certificate contains more information, such as the name of hospital, certifier's name and title; attendant's name and title, etc. The certification has only the child's name, date and time of birth, sex, city/island/county of birth, mother's maiden name, mother's race, father's name and father's race. Why doesn't the state just issue certificates? When did it stop issuing certificates? Is it possible to obtain certificates for my third and fifth children?

Answer: No, you can't obtain a "certificate of live birth" anymore.

The state Department of Health no longer issues copies of paper birth certificates as was done in the past, said spokeswoman Janice Okubo.

The department only issues "certifications" of live births, and that is the "official birth certificate" issued by the state of Hawaii, she said.

And, it's only available in electronic form.

Okubo explained that the Health Department went paperless in 2001.

"At that time, all information for births from 1908 (on) was put into electronic files for consistent reporting," she said.

Information about births is transferred electronically from hospitals to the department.

"The electronic record of the birth is what (the Health Department) now keeps on file in order to provide same-day certified copies at our help window for most requests," Okubo said.

Asked for more information about the short-form versus long-form birth documents, Okubo said the Health Department "does not have a short-form or long-form certificate."

"The birth certificate form has been modified over the years and decades to conform to national standards and models," she said.

Okubo also emphasized the certification form "contains all the information needed by all federal government agencies for transactions requiring a birth certificate."

She added that the U.S. Supreme Court has recognized the state's current certification of live birth "as an official birth certificate meeting all federal and other requirements."

The issue of what constitutes an official Hawaii birth certificate received national attention during last year's presidential campaign. Those who doubted Barack Obama's American citizenship called the copy of the Hawaii birth document posted on his campaign Web site a fake.

Asked about that document, Okubo said, "This is the same certified copy everyone receives when they request a birth certificate."

Twitchy, you may have a point. I'm sure there is a certain tenancy to want to believe that no one born in our nation would be willing to willfully destroy it, as Obama rapidly doing. However, many members of congress, who are unquestionably natural born citizens, are aiding in the destruction. The second factor should serve to counteract the first.

I love America, I cry every time I hear the National Anthem. I have a daughter who is serving in the armed forces. My Husband, his father and Uncle, my father, my great,great grandfathers have all served in the Army, Navy or Air Force all the way back to the Civil War. I am not willing that any foreign national socialist come in and destroy America for the gain of International interests. These are not wild accusations these are actions that we are all witnessing daily! The So-called president has nationalized the banks.. is that Constitutional? He has confiscated two of the three automobile corporations, fired their executives and installed new CEO's of his choosing.. the result is thousands of Americans whose retirement savings have been confiscated, investors have been give 29 cents back on their investments and the Unions have gained 30% interest in the companies. Add that to the Car Dealer franchise owners who's life's work, property and businesses have been taken away without compensation and leaving them with millions of dollars worth of parts, vehicles and debt (mandated by the former corporation).. and they have NOTHING. There are laws of imminent domain, but these have not even been followed.
Can you explain what you think is acceptable, legal moral or beneficial in any of these actions? What would you be doing if someone you knew or a family member was one of those affected? Would you tell them that Obama is a nice man and he just wants to help people? Our government was built on the principles of honesty and the freedom to be able to work hard and receive the fruits of your labor, not sit back and steal from others who work hard. America is not Sherwood Forest with a steal from the rich and give to the poor policy.. and those who have sacrificed, worked hard and received a good reward are not robber barons who deserve that treatment.
Just exactly what is your idea of what America is? What kind of government are you hoping for?
And tell me is it perfectly OK that the president has broken many laws; immigration laws, forgery laws, purgery, falsification of identity, false swearing, social security laws, accepting foreign student financial aid when he now claims to be an American, ad nauseum.... BO's "original birth certificate" is irrelevant. The short-form Certification of Live Birth, with the official signature and seal, is legally equivalent to the "original birth certificate" for the purpose of certifying citizenship. It states where and when he was born, and who his parents were. What does anyone expect to find on the "original birth certificate" that would make any difference.

Frankly, I don't much like Obama. I just like liars and sheep a lot less.

And the "my family served" mantra won't buy you anything from me. I spent over a decade in the USAF and Reserve, most of it active. It's no excuse for blind faith in liars and frauds.

And what does the rest of your post have to do with BO's BC? Obama didn't create this situation, though he doesn't seem to be helping much either. Are you convinced he's not a US citizen because you have some actual evidence, or just because you don't like him and his policies? Do you have any proof that Obama is a "serial law breaker", or do you just hate him? If it's the latter, then you're an insult to all veterans, and a disgrace as an American.

Twitchy, I ONLY want the truth. My whole life is based upon the Truth. I have examined the evidence that is available and my conclusion is that BHO is a fraud. I want a court to examine this evidence, to hear a case on it's merits, to investigate to find the truth. That is what our system is based upon. There is nothing that can be accomplished by continuing to sweep the questions, legitimate questions under the rug.
You are correct BHO's long form birth certificate is just a tiny piece of the evidence. I contest your ascertation that his short form is sufficient, look up Hawaiian law, requirements for proof of ID and it is not considered sufficient. One Vital point: was are not retroactive. BHO is, just as we are operating under laws that existed at the time of the event. Even if last month it was declared that the short form was sufficient.. it was not sufficient at the time he began his campaign or when he was born.
BHO was adopted by Lolo Soetoro as an Indonesian, that makes him a citizen of Indonesia, that's what adoption is a change of identity. It doesn't matter that he was a child, a parent has that authority over a child. He accepted financial aid as a foreign student to go to college. This shows that he accepted the fact that he was a foreigner (or he was committing fraud, taking funds under false pretenses). He traveled to Pakistan on a foreign passport after he had reached his majority, again acting on the fact that he was a citizen of that country.
He could have become a naturalized American citizen through the proper channels, but he never did. He is therefore according to the evidence not even an American citizen, he doesn't even have a green card! This is the evidence I have researched. If I am completely wrong then let a court look into these ascertations these facts to see if they are true or not. That's all we ask. That the evidence be given a fair and open hearing. The telling point is that BHO has spent a million dollars on legal fees trying to keep all of this evidence out of a courtroom. If the evidence is false why? If he is not a foreigner, has not taken scholarship money under false premises, etc, etc why not just come out in the open and let it be proven?
By the way they contend that the seal on the short form (second version) can not be seen because it is on the back side.. have you ever seen a notary public who was preparing a document for the possible next president of the United States put the seal on a document backwards? Preposterous!

Nonsense. The only thing I've ever seen that it's not 'sufficient' for is a program for homesteads for native Hawaiians, though, unless the long-form provides percentage of pure Hawaiian ancestry, I still don't see why not. Even so, they'll accept the CoLB. They just say they'll need to investigate further.

That's pure ignorance. The CoLB was not issued when Obama was born. In 2001, Hawaii computerized their birth records. The CoLB is an extract of those records, and is based on the information from the long-form birth certificate. Currently, according to the Hawaii Department of Health, all they issue is the CoLB. If you ask for a copy of your BC, they print off a CoLB, sign it and impress the seal.

First off, if he was adopted, that was in Indonesia, and would not affect US citizenship. Secondly, I've never seen any evidence that he was officially adopted.

That would be a good argument, but the "news item" that's circulating around to that effect was an April Fools joke.

There's no proof that all of that money has been spent as you say. Get some figures for how much the Bush campaign spent on legal fees during and after winning the 2000 & 2004 campaigns. And all BO has to do is ask the courts to obey the law. Why are you against that?

Why comply with the demands of a bunch of proven liars? The people pushing these lawsuits might have more credibility if they didn't lie so much.

Hawaii, on the few CoLBs I've seen on the web, signs and applies the seal on the back. Since it's a raised seal, it will show through on the front. My own birth certificate (not from Hawaii) has the seal applied on the back, along with the signature.

The seal is clearly visible in the hi-res photos at factcheck.org. Notice how the lighting makes a big difference in the visibility of the seal. What BO's campaign posted looks like a lo-res scan, not a photo. That lighting would make the seal harder to see. No shadows.
