I'm Not So Sure...

Here's a novel idea: Rather than stir the pot of controversy and conspiracy, simply release to the public your actual long form birth certificate, not the "Certification of Live Birth" garbage. And while you're at it, release the passport records in regard to Indonesia. Your actions thus far are at best translucent, not even close to transparent.

Why Is This Idea Important?

It is Constitutional. It's a very serious and vital constitutional requirement. The irony? - A hearing was held to determine if John McCain was an eligible citizen, whereby he had to provide documentation. And yet, not only has the same treatment not been given to Obama, but Obama has spent millions to make sure the long form birth certificate, passport records, and school records are hidden from the public. Hiding such info is not the actions of someone claiming transparency. And the laughable idea that the so called FactCheck and Snopes have "solved the case" is idiotic. Maybe children and the mentally handicapped are fooled, but not thinking intelligent people. Let's see the birth certificate and put this issue to rest.

I have viewed the Certificate of Live Birth online that people assume is verification. It is not a Birth Certificate. Any one of us can acquire a similar document just to verify we had a "live birth." It is not the actual birth certificate an attending physician signed. Our government officials well know this and should have long ago released the actual birth certificate (not Certificate of Live Birth). If nothing is wrong, why continue to hide it and spend over one million in legal fees, as they have so far, to "hide the original" Birth Certificate? Why has the Governor of Hawaii stated she "viewed" it, rather than release it? Are they simply buying time so as to perfect a fake one? To destroy travel and education records forever that prove something they want to hide? What is Transparency?

I never cease to be amazed that Americans do not think this as important. Americans no longer care for truth, they prefer to embrace what they "want to hear." I am surprised that any President would desire to hide his original records and be allowed to do so!

Travel, organizational affiliations, Birth and Educational records, of elected officials are to be open books. We elect these people and need to first know about their life, lest we elect an imposter. We have an American responsibility. This is fact,not rumor.

The Birth Certificate does not matter. No matter where he was born, only his mother was a citizen. Two citizen parents are required along with birth ON U.S. soil, to confer Natural Born Status.

If the usurper was born in Hawaii he would only be a native born citizen which does not meet the Constitutional requisit to be president.

If he was born in Kenya his mother was not old enough to confer citizenship to him and he would not be a citizen unless he was naturalized; still not sufficient to meet the Constitutional requisit.

Obama asked for a copy of his birth certificate. Hawaii issued him what they issue everybody who asks for a copy of their birth certificate, the Certification of Live Birth. He displayed it on the internet, just so everyone could see it. What he displayed contains all of the information necessary to prove citizenship, including that he was born in Honolulu. Case closed.

Why not answer this: Why is it, that both Obama and the state of Hawaii, acknowledge that the long form birth certificate exists, yet neither of them will allow it to be seen?

And please stop that tired of tripe that the certification of live birth provides enough info to prove citizenship ... it does not. It is not equal to the actual long form birth certificate, no more so than an unsigned hand-written Bill-of-Sale is equal to the original Official Title of a vehicle. The info on the certification of live birth is sparse and unverified, and it is merely accepted as de facto information from the parent. It is prima facie evidence of nothing more than a live birth occurred. Since Obama and the state of Hawaii have both acknowledged the existence of the long form birth certificate, it is not the least bit "crazy" or "troubled" for citizens to ask a) Can we see the long form? and b) Why not? Question: What is the state's policy for issuing a "Certification of Live Birth" versus a "Certificate of Live Birth"? My first, second and fourth children received certificates, but my third and fifth children received certifications. Why the difference? The certificate contains more information, such as the name of hospital, certifier's name and title; attendant's name and title, etc. The certification has only the child's name, date and time of birth, sex, city/island/county of birth, mother's maiden name, mother's race, father's name and father's race. Why doesn't the state just issue certificates? When did it stop issuing certificates? Is it possible to obtain certificates for my third and fifth children?

Answer: No, you can't obtain a "certificate of live birth" anymore.

The state Department of Health no longer issues copies of paper birth certificates as was done in the past, said spokeswoman Janice Okubo.

The department only issues "certifications" of live births, and that is the "official birth certificate" issued by the state of Hawaii, she said.

And, it's only available in electronic form.

Okubo explained that the Health Department went paperless in 2001.

"At that time, all information for births from 1908 (on) was put into electronic files for consistent reporting," she said.

Information about births is transferred electronically from hospitals to the department.

"The electronic record of the birth is what (the Health Department) now keeps on file in order to provide same-day certified copies at our help window for most requests," Okubo said.

Asked for more information about the short-form versus long-form birth documents, Okubo said the Health Department "does not have a short-form or long-form certificate."

"The birth certificate form has been modified over the years and decades to conform to national standards and models," she said.

Okubo also emphasized the certification form "contains all the information needed by all federal government agencies for transactions requiring a birth certificate."

She added that the U.S. Supreme Court has recognized the state's current certification of live birth "as an official birth certificate meeting all federal and other requirements."

The issue of what constitutes an official Hawaii birth certificate received national attention during last year's presidential campaign. Those who doubted Barack Obama's American citizenship called the copy of the Hawaii birth document posted on his campaign Web site a fake.

Asked about that document, Okubo said, "This is the same certified copy everyone receives when they request a birth certificate."

Your entire post is completely irrelevant. You're talking current procedures verse procedures from the early 60s. They did in fact issue long form birth certificates at that time. I can prove it, and show you EXACTLY what one issued at that time (and more than a decade after) looks like.

Secondly, Obama himself acknowledged in his book that the long form birth certificate exists. And the Hawaii registrar of vital statistics already issued a statement saying that she had personally seen and "verified" Obama's original long form birth certificate and that it is indeed held in Hawaii.

So ... sorry, but your argument just crumbled.

You are either misinformed, or lying. The certification of Live Birth is not "merely accepted as de facto information from the parent". It is an extract from the database built from the original birth certificate. It contains all of the information necessary to prove citizenship. It is accepted by the State Department and every state in the country for that purpose, as long as it has the required signature and raised seal, which Obama's does.

As for your reply to evreport, did you even bother to read what they posted? Your reply is totally off-the-wall. The State of Hawaii, apparently since 2001, no longer issues a copy of the Certificate of Live Birth when someone asks for their birth certificate. They print off a Certification of Live Birth, stamp the back, apply the raised seal, and send that out. That is the official copy of the birth certificate these days.

If the shoe was on the other foot and a Republican President was on the receiving end of a birth certificate controversy I'm sure you would accept the word of a Hawaiian Registrar who "saw" the document as final proof. If Barry says it exists in his book then he needs to release it then we can also examine his travel documents and school records for the name(s) he used on them. Barry's continued silence in these matters is political suicide.

And you might look up Chester A. Arthur, whose father was naturalized 14 years after Arthur was born. Was he a "natural-born citizen"? The idea didn't seem to bother anyone in 1880, when he ran for Vice President. Nor did it seem to bother anybody when he became the 21st President in September, 1881, after Garfield was assassinated.

Of course, you should probably be more interested in Charles J. Guiteau, Garfield's somewhat unsane assassin.

If you had been born in Hawaii, and asked, today, for an official copy of your birth certificate, what you would get is the Certification of Live Birth. That is your birth certificate, for official purposes. That is proof of citizenship, for official purposes. There's no need to look at the long-form. There's nothing on the long-form that is needed to prove Obama's citizenship that isn't on the short-form BC.

More and more states, as they modernize, are doing the same thing. I would hope that some, now that imaging and storage are getting so cheap, would changes to storing hi-res images of the original BC, and just print that out when needed. But that's not the way it is right now in Hawaii.

Again, what need is there to look at the long-form BC? What information do you need that isn't on the short form?

Let me make it simple for you. Let's say the authorities want me to prove that my vehicle is mine. If I show them an unsigned Bill-of-Sale, they will not be too impressed. If they ask if I have the original Official Title, I say yes. Then if they asked to see the original Official Title and I say, "Nope, sorry. You can't see that." How much sense will that make, and how quickly might they question whether the vehicle is even mine? The BOS shows the buyer, seller, VIN number, date of sale. But it's not the Official Title. Then let's suppose they demand to see the registration, but I have a team of lawyers prevent them from seeing it. Making any sense?

Obama and the HI registrar of vital statistics have both stated the long form birth certificate exists, and it is confirmed to be in Hawaii right now. So quit DODGING THE ISSUE and answer - why won't Obama release the long form birth certificate and put the whole controversy to rest? What would he lose by releasing that document that could possibly outweigh what he would gain (ending the controversy)? Use common sense for crying out loud. Okay, here we go. Here's proof of exactly what a 1961, 1962, and 1963 Hawaii birth certificate looks like. And just for kicks, I'm going to show you what a 1979 COPY of a birth certificate issued in 1971 looks like (since some claim he only possessed a copy back then) - note how much information is contained even on this 8 year old copy (No more "he could only get a copy" excuses). He could release his if he wanted to. Anyway ... Have fun kids!

The Certification of Live Birth is not the equivalent of an unsigned Bill of Sale. The CoLB is an official, state-certified document that is the birth certificate, for all official purposes. You simply refuse to accept the law. And the facts.

Obama isn't releasing the long-form because, in reality, THERE IS NO CONTROVERSY. What there is, is a bunch of made-up BS that should have taken up about 5 seconds of the nation's time, but is being pushed by a bunch of crackpots and gullible conspiracy theorist followers.

What relevance does "attending physician, hospital name, footprints, etc." have to the issue of Obama's citizenship? The birthers are just looking for the long-form so they have something else they can whine and quibble about.

"X was the attending physician, but he says that he never delivered Obama."

"No, he says that federal privacy law won't let him discuss a patient's medical care without authorization from the patient."

"WHAT'S OBAMA HIDING?"

ETC. ETC. ETC. ETC. ETC. ETC. ETC. ETC. ETC. ETC. ETC. ETC. ETC. ETC. ad nauseum.

It doesn't matter what the original birth certificates looked like. If you ask for a copy of your Hawaiian birth certificate NOW, what you get is what Obama showed everybody. That's all he needs to prove citizenship, and THAT's what this is supposed to be about, not the whiny-baby birthers screaming "Show me the BC".

What passport did UHBAMA use when he was shuttling between New York , Jakarta , and Karachi ? How did a young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981, without the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with the price of a round-the-world trip just a month later??? And once he was on a plane, shuttling between New York , Jakarta , and Karachi , what passport was he offering when he passed through Customs and Immigration? The American people not only deserve to have answers to these questions, they must have answers. It makes the debate over UHbama's citizenship a rather short and simple one.

Q: Did he travel to Pakistan in 1981, at age 20?

A: Yes, by his own admission.

Q: What passport did he travel
under?

A: There are only three possibilities. 1. He traveled with a U.S. Passport, 2) He traveled with a British passport, or 3) He traveled with an Indonesia passport.

Q: Is it possible that UHbama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?

A: No. It is not possible. Pakistan was on the U.S. State Department's "no travel" list in 1981.

Conclusion: When UHbama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling either with a British passport or an Indonesian passport.
If he was traveling with a British passport that would provide proof that he was born in Kenya on August 4, 1961, not in Hawaii as he claims. And if he was traveling with an Indonesian passport that would tend to prove that he
relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967..

Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a "natural born" American citizen between 1981 and 2008.

Given the destructive nature of his plans for America, as illustrated by his speech before Congress and the disastrous spending plan he has presented to Congress, the sooner we learn the truth of all this, the better.

I think there are too many questions left unanswered, and even though nobody has come up with what some call the smoking gun, it tends to make one wonder why such great lengths have been taken to conceal some of the information this column deals with. When we are talking about the privacy rights of a private citizen it is one thing, but when we are denied the information about the leader of our nation, information that could have informed the voters as to his validity, it is entirely another thing.

I don't know that Obama is not a citizen, and if he is not a natural born citizen, as prescribed by law, he is not a citizen at all, since he was not naturalized through the immigration process. I don't believe he is, based on suspicion unfortunately, not on any factual evidence. I do want to see some factual evidence so we can call for his ouster, but until we do see such evidence, I am afrraid we are stuck with the usurper in chief.
