For those of you who are SURE that we have seen Barack Obama's birth certificate (after all Snopes says it is good!) I have a little challenge for you. Take said certificate and insert your name, making no other changes. Then, take it to any local US Post office and ask them if it will be sufficient for you to receive a US Passport. I am not suggesting you actually try to get a passport, just ask if the document will allow you to. After you are told no for the 22nd time, try to rationalize away the fact that if the Government will not allow you to get a passport with it, then why would they let you become president with it?

If the document the Obama campaign placed on the internet is good, then why deny that very same document to a Court for verification?

The document on the internet is the very same document all persons born outside of Hawaii received when Hawaii became a State.

No one in Hawaii had birth certificates for US Citizenship until Hawaii became a State in 1958-9(?) close.

No person who was actually born in Hawaii would need the short form as was shown on the internet, he would have the real one with the Hospital and Dr.'s name on it.

So just show the one he placed on the internet in a Court Room and allow it to be verified.

Much better than hiring 3 Law Firms to fight showing that very document and spending upwards of a million dollars to keep from showing a 15 dollar document.

It matters not about his BC, he's not a natural born citizen. The 14th amendment vets Article I but not Article II s. 1, thus NBC is differentiated IN the Constitution from US Citizen, they are NOT the same. Further the 14th defines US citizen as "born or naturalized" meaning that a US citizen can be either, but a NBC can NEVER be naturalized. Thus as the son of a Kenyan, Obama is not a natural born citizen.

Precedent liar Pelosi certified Obama knowing he was ineligible. Even Obama admits this as cosponsor of S.R. 511 which defines NBC, and he does not fit the definition.

Obama is an ineligible usurper. Period.

Obama does not have to spend millions of dollars to law firms to keep the American people from seeing his original long form birth certificate - something which should have been done by the Democratic party before the election! Since Snopes.com and Factcheck.org say it is a real birth certificate, then it must be real, right? Only fools would believe that.

It is time for the President to come up with the long form birth certificate, his college records, passports, etc., that would truly prove his U.S. citizenship. So far, he has only had his high paid lawyers try to cover up this info. It's time to come clean with your own house, Mr. President.

US citizens and patriots deserve better thsn Factcheck.org and Snopes.com being the "proof" of your citizenship.

This is what one website is saying. This is posted in order to present clearly why the birthers feel it is important that Mr. Obama show the American public his long form birth certificate.

Some would consider what is written by Dr. Polarik to be extreme. It should be noted that this information is available on his website and therefore is public information accessible by anyone with internet access.

What the Obama campaign actually posted on its website on June 12, 2008, is a forged document image and not a real copy of Obama’s birth certificate. In every news conference that he’s had up until now, Obama and his Press Secretary have side-stepped all of the questions raised about his birth certificate, including the use of intimidation of reporters to do so. When Press Secretary Gibbs said that “The state of Hawaii provided a copy, with a seal, of the president’s birth,” it was a bald-faced lie. Hawaii never produced a Certification of Live Birth document for Obama, with a date-stamp of June 12, 2007.

Furthermore, Hawaii denied that Obama, a family member, or someone Obama personally authorized, ever requested and received a copy of this alleged Certification of Live Birth (COLB) in June 2007 or in any other month of that year.

Not one governmental official, in Hawaii or in any other place in the nation, has ever seen this COLB document in person, let alone validate it as genuine.

The reason is simple: this document does not exist and never did. Hawaii announced that it has Obama’s original birth record, but has refused to reveal what’s on that record. Hawaii never confirmed where Obama was born, and if he had been born in Honolulu as Obama claims, Hawaii would not have any reason to withhold that information.

What has unfolded is a genuine conspiracy to commit document fraud. This bogus birth certificate constitutes a false identification document, and is a violation of federal forgery laws punishable by five years in prison (for each count) and up to a $250,000 fine. Not only were federal forgery laws violated, but also Hawaiian forgery laws, as well.

That, Bret, is the untold story here. Why would a President risk committing document fraud just to prevent his original birth certificate from ever being seen?

The answer must be that the information it contains would spell the end of his Presidency and his charade as well. He would be exposed as a fraud and a usurper, and the political landscape would be forever changed, along with how the media shapes public policy.

My birth certificate states the hospital I was born in, the county, and the doctor. His does not. The birth certificate on the web is the kind that one uses when one is not born in Hawaii, but registers thir child afterward.

This is vital enough that hearings were held to confirm McCain's eligibility since he was born of military parents in Panama. Why not a hearing on Obama?????

Another point to be made is why can't his school records be accessed under the freedom of information act? It is suspected those records would show he was in school as a foreign student. It is known that he had a passport from Indonesia, which is not allowed an American citizen.

After 20 years in the military, 10 years teaching school and raising three kids, I know baloney when I hear it. This guy is hiding something - that's the only explanation for all the stonewalling. I've love for him to prove me wrong, but fat chance of that happening. Where's the birth certificate, Barack?

Amen to a previous comment that this issue will never go away until it is answered properly and honestly. It should not have taken this long to get that proper answer and the longer it takes, the more the suspicion will grow to the point that perhaps a long form certificate is also being forged as we wait.

Get the message to Obama loud and clear - remind him of Watergate and that this will grow into Certificate. And by the way enough about the "transparency of this Administration.

Why has Obama expended over $1 million in legal fees( verified) to challenge all the suits filed requesting the RELEASE of the LONG FORM Birth Certificate. Why have his Occidental, Columbia and Harvard college records been sealed( verified)? When you have nothing to CONCEAL, you produce the records . In criminal /civil cases, via subpoea, records MUST be produced . This is the process that both defendants and plantiffs utilize to prove or disprove a case. In this instant case the citizens of the U.S. have to rely on a "photocopy" of a "Live -Birth Certificate" as the sole document and his spinmisters stating he was born in the U.S. When there is no paper trail availabe for examination, how is it possible to confirm/deny the information. Imagine the constitutional crisis , when it's eventually discoverdthis was the largest fraud ever perpetrated on the American public.

REEEEAAAALLY now ... tell you what rrau22, why do you not take up my challenge? Afraid of what you might find out? Take the purported 'Birth Certificate' (actually a Certificate of Live Birth) and insert your name and take it to any PO and ask if it is sufficient for you to receive a passport ... then get back to us on that will you? In fact make a YouTube video and post it. Go to a lot of PO's so there is not a doubt in anyone's mind! It will make you a big hero with all of your socialist friends!

What 0bama needs to do to prove he is eligible:

1) Release the long form, vault copy of his birth certificate.

2) Release all college records to the public.

3) Show he has never been a citizen of Indonesia - as school records there show.

4) Tell us what passport he used to travel to Pakistan in the early 80's - when travel to Pakistan (or Pokeestan according to Zero) was restricted for US citizens.

Until then I will believe he is an usurper who needs to be removed from office and tried for his crimes against the country.

The truth is, his birth certificate is only relative because Obama suspiciously and knowingly tried to pass off an inadequate yet very misleading and apparently fraudulent CoLB, as a legitimate birth certificate, which it is not.

As a new state at the time, Hawaii often issued a CoLB or 'certificate of live birth' to children up to one year of age, including foreign born children brought to Hawaii. So all a CoLB proves is that Obama was born alive, somewhere.

The CoLB does not prove he was born in Hawaii, and even if it did it wouldn't matter, given the other known disqualifying issues such as only one parent being a U.S. citizen and foreign citizenship, means he is not 'natural born' and is not eligible. As opposed to native (born here) or even naturalized citizenship (moved here), natural born requires that one be born in the United States and that both parents (plural) be U.S. citizens.

Obama's father is Kenyan, so he is not 'natural born' and is not constitutionally eligible. Therefore he is an illegal usurper posing as president and every order he gives the military is an illegal order that they are duty bound to refuse to obey, and law he signs is null and void! The only the only government housing he is entitled to is Leavenworth.

However being a Constitutional scholar, clearly Obama is a desperate person and the conveniently confusing CoLB may be all he has to offer. As they say, you can fool some of the people some of the time, especially when blind ambition, political expediency and one's own self interests matter more than the rule of law and the Constitution.

Let's see the real birth certificate with country of birth, delivery doctor, and location of birth. Let's see the records from all colleges. If there is a problem, then we have no President seated. If all is as it should be, then for crying out loud...there is no problem. This will not go away until it is resolved properly. Why hide something so basic unless it is not so basic?

Just for those whjo don't know, snopes.com is simply a very liberal husband/wife couple who put up a website. Period. Anyone can do it. It's not an agency and nobody verifies what they say. Just two people with opinions doling out their own take on things. Sometimes accurate, usually skewed by personal opinion like every other website and news outlet on the web.

The White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, stated in his response to the WND reporter that the BIRTH CERTIFICATE WAS ON THE PRESIDENT’S WEB SITE.

Let us examine that statement under the harsh light of fact and logic.

On that COLB it states, that it is prima facie evidence of the fact of birth. Just what is prima facie evidence? Here are a couple of definitions and their sources upon which all of us, INCLUDING MR. GIBBS, may wish to give some thought.

It should be noted, if you review the entire statement that, after making it, she had an opportunity to review an un-redacted on line copy of the COLB. After viewing it, she made a clarification regarding item 3. I do not have a citation for that clarifying statement but it is not pertinent to this discussion.

To Press Secretary Gibbs and any others who still hold the on line COLB as prima facie evidence of Obama’s fact of birth, please remember your argument is not with me. If you have one iota of honesty in your entire body, you must ask the following questions of yourself or personally contact Ms Lines to QUESTION HER conclusions and/or qualifications:

1. Do you agree that Ms Lines states that the on line COLB not be taken at face value?
2. Do you agree that she offers a reasonable solution for that deficiency? (PRODUCE THE LONG FORM CERTIFICATE)
3. Do you question the qualifications of Ms Lines to arrive at the conclusions and make the recommendation she did?
4. If you do question them, do you have comparable qualifications that you feel allow you to do so? If so, will you please enumerate those for this forum?
5. If you do not question Ms Lines qualifications and admit that her ability to question the on line COLB is technically superior to yours, will you please explain to this forum why you would still hold the COLB at face value?

In the language of the 18th century, natural was a synonym of native. Thus 'natural language' meant native language, as explicitly stated in the first Webster's Dictionary, which also gives acquired as well as artificial as antonyms of natural. This implies that 'natural born' meant 'native born' AND that M:Cain isn't natural born, since he was born in a U.S. territory that in the meantime didn't adopt the Constitution. It thereby doesn't matter if he also was eligible to acquire citizenship via his parents, if the concept involved is strictly 'jus soli.' One thing is certain: if M:Cain had won, nobody here would be asking to verify his eligibility, even though his citizenship was acquired rather than native.

The term Natural born Citizen appears in our Constitution, in Article 1, Section 2, with these words, “No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.”

Before the Constitution the closest reference we have to Natural Born Citizen is from the legal treatise “the Law of Nations,” written by Emerich de Vattel in 1758. In book one chapter 19,

§ 212. Of the citizens and natives.

“The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights. If there is one person in government who should have absolutely nothing to hide, it should be the President. He should be the one who sets the example for everyone else to follow. If he is unwilling to show that he is even a citizen, natural born or not, I know of several million other people who would like to do the same and not have to worry about being sent back to the countries they came here from illegally. Perhaps ICE should pay the White House a visit.

After reading all this hype from the anti-Obama folks about his birth certificate I decided to look into the matter. I did a yahoo search and the first article listed was:

If you read this I think it will answer any questions you might have; and it was published last August, well before the election. The website shows multiple photos of the birth certificate in question. The director of Hawaii’s Department of Health, Chiyome Fukino, and the registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, have certified that the health department holds Obama's original birth certificate. This web page also addresses and answers most of the other issues that have raised by the anti-Obama folks.

The upshot is that all of this commotion about Obama’s birth certificate is utter nonsense and the Open Government website should have just quit posting messages about it and then posted an article like that at Fact Check to explain why they were doing so. The interesting thing is that there was and still is much more real evidence that President Bush committed real impeachable offenses – as listed by Representative Kucinich in his legislative filings – which were pretty much ignored by these same people that are now raising such a ruckus regarding President Obama. The hypocrisy is astounding.

Again, take the document that they have presented (your name inserted and go to any PO and ask if it is sufficient for you to receive a passport.

You see thay say that the presented COLB has all of the elements the state requires, not that one could obtain a passport with the document presented.

There is something being hidden by the powers that be. He traveled in the 80's to a restricted to American travel country. He had to have a passport. It could not have been a US passport. He is the Manchurian candidate, or Occam's Razor has lost its edge.

If he was born here, why is the Long Form Birth Certificate a national secret. You expect me to believe the propagandists when they tell me they aren't lying? It's not hype, It's a serious and valid question, "May I have proof you're qualified to be president Mr. Obama?" Answer: "No, but I was borne here, I have a piece of paper that says my mother gave birth to me and the State of Hawaii will say what ever I tell them to. So, don't worry. I'm not lying, take our word for it." Didn't he give us his word that he would allow five days of public comment before signing bills too? Obama lied, Capitalism died.

Oh, and why doesn't he prove all us "nuts" wrong and produce the document? We have no documentation of his birth in the United States. The question is not, "Were you borne?", the question is, "Where were you born?". Get it? Where's the proof? There's nothing to hide, so don't hide it.
