Vote NO on S.R. 773: Cybersecurity Act of 2009

63. Vote NO on Senate Resolution 773: Cybersecurity Act of 2009 – This law will moderate the current free speech internet by allowing unprecedented government access to servers, all in the name of national security. This must not happen. The internet is the last bastion of free thought. Our other media outlets, television, radio, and newsprint, are all compromised by controlling interests who moderate or script daily news. Internet is the last public free resource of information, untainted by those corrupting forces of government sponsorship. As this bill is currently written it would devastate freedom of speech all under the guise of protection from so called cyber attacks. This Act must not be passed as read on April 1, 2009.

April 1, 2009, version, Section 14, part (b) FUNCTIONS – The Secretary of Commerce – (1) shall have access to all relevant data concerning such networks without regard to any provision of law, regulation, rule, or policy restricting such access.

If congress wanted to reinforce cyber security all they need to do is reinforce their gate keeper code, meaning accessibility to their mainframes. This bill is an over achiever bill that has far too many powers for its purpose.

Presently, all purchases over the internet are done sales tax free, this must continue. Any legislation by the state or federal government to place fees or sales taxes upon internet sales must be resisted and discouraged, under the pain of recall or impeachment, if necessary.

The only reason why congress and the president are interested in passage of SR 773: Cybersecurity Act is to control the internet. They see the internet as a threat, since it represents the last bastion of free thought and innovation. The Cybersecurity Act will be designed to insinuate itself throughout the net and at the command of someone, shut it down. You see, the power to destroy a thing is the power to control a thing, or so the thinking goes. Why destroy the internet? Most likely to make room for net 2.0 where prefix designations will be assigned to groups and content can be more moderated. The free flow of thought will be chained to pay as you go system, but not initially.

The American people will not stand still while our government destroys web 1.0 unless it is followed by some sort of false flag type attack. It would take a massive something to move the people to accept a more moderated web design. Since the web is so decentralized it would take multiple concerted virus attacks or an electromagnetic detonation in orbit to knock it out. With our government’s penchant for loosing, mislabeling, or miss-shipping of nuclear weapons, this last one where an orbital nuke detonates would be easier to pull off. How they get around the origin of the fission material would be tough, since each nuclear material or explosion gives off a distinctive signature that can be traced to the manufacturer.

How do I know this much about nuclear weapons? I have written a high school report paper on the effects of fallout radiation on a population, modeled on reports from the two bombs dropped on Japan. I remember reading articles where the government looses a nuke off the coast of Georgia, to accidentally loading a bomber with live weapons for states flyover, to actually mislabeling nuclear fuses and shipping them to Vietnam (Vietnam had to ask the USA, are you missing something).

Six nuclear warheads on cruise missiles were mistakenly carried on a flight from North Dakota to Louisiana last week, prompting a major investigation, military officials have confirmed. Link: http://saywhen.wordpress.com/2007/09/06/air-force-nuke-accident-leads-to-planned-stand-down-on-914/
