I disagree. I am of the opinion that our national anthem is the best anthem ever. When you watch the olympics listen to the other anthems.

I want to attach this idea to "Free Pizza Fridays", I voted for that one also.

I love This Land Is Your Land, but there's too much historical significance in The Star-Spangled Banner to replace it, IMHO. Yes, it's hard to sing, but it's stirring.

I've been thinking exactly this for years.

It's elitist and does not reflect the whole point of this country.

Most people don't know the words and don't even understand them.

The lyrics glorify war.

The tune has too big a range and is out of reach. A few professional singers can manage it, but it makes the average person sound like a stuck pig.

"This Land is Your Land" is within the range of most people, has a positive message, and can grow with us. New verses can be added at any time.

The National Anthem is a time honored historical song and should not be messed with. I am proud of our anthem.

Well this one made me sit a minute and sing it in my head. By gosh I remembered it all and it made me smile.
