Why Is This Idea Important?: Simplification. Makes it easier to understand the idea. This is brainstorming after all.

Requires people to get to the point.

    Exactly what I proposed. Odd that I didn't see it before -- must be all that verbiage that surrounds it. More reason to limit speech to 500 words.

    Experience helps stimulate these ideas. If I had it to do again I might say 50 words or less. This is supposed to be brainstorming. The discussion comes later. Of course I cant say that the National Academy didn't ask for it.

    Either limit the verbiage, or let it spill over into a comment box on the side. Then the reader would only have to look at a paragraph or so per comment, and could choose to open the box.

    Also, it might help to give the author a few simple moderator tools.

    And private messaging. If you have a personal issue, take it outside.
