As mobile phones continue to become more sophisticated, a greater percentage of our population will be using the mobile platform to access government information via the Internet.
Websites such as Wikipedia automatically detect and format information for the mobile platform. In the interests of greater accessibility, collaboration and open government all Federal Government websites should be mobile-compatible.

This is a great idea. The same technologies that make government websites mobile-ready will better prepare those sites to offer data in serialized formats. Serialized formats are important because they make it easy for third parties to perform computational analysis of the data.
