Lets have a scientific fact based look at 911.
They say 911 changed eveything. Now that the dust has cleared and the scientific reports on the collapse of the World Trade Center are finally finished, lets have another look at 911.
The 911 commission members have said the investigation is a whitewash. Hundreds of scientists, architects and engineers, professors, firefighters, medical professionals, pilots, family member say the official story can not be true.

Why Is This Idea Important?

Our entire foriegn policy and homeland security is based on 911. The official 911 story has changed and the commission members say it was a whitewash,. Let's take another look.

I agree. I don't follow the 'conspiracy' theories, but I do see no reason why there shouldn't be real science done on how the buildings collapsed. There's no politics in this, its an engineering question.

If this had been the result of a natural disaster, the govt would have called for an investigation into precisely how the buildings collapsed. You'd think the engineering world would call for it as well. Its a question of understanding why, so that the structural failures can be identified and engineered against to protect future buildings.
Do not be discouraged if the partison trolls come in and trash your numbers. 9-11 scares everyone in government because they know:

1) 9 countries warned us in advance and FBI had three prior domestic alerts (two walk-ins and the pilot training)

2) Dick Cheney organized a national wide counter-terrorism exercise on 9-11, months in advance, so as to control the government on that day (and he put the local command center on the piers rather than using the command center in WTC that he knew would be destroyed)

3) WTC 7 was not hit at all, and the Pentagon was hit by a missile, not an airplane, and all the evidence that Rudy Guliani had trucks pre-organized to "scoop and dump" was still seen by architects and engineers that found straight heat cuts and thermite traces

The bigger question is, why are we still fighting wars based on 9-11? We are fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan while the 9-11 terrorists were Al Qeada and are in Pakistan. We have no understanding or plan for the Afghanistan war. It is another Vietnam.

This ongoing 9-11 excuse for illegal preemptive racist genocidal war is a load of crap.

The evidence is in... 'Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe', a peer-reviewed scientific paper has recently been published in the Open Chemical Physics Journal detailing the use of nanothermite to bring down the three buildings in NYC on 9/11 by controlled demolition. We must demand a new, thorough and "independent" 9/11 investigation now for the 9/11 victims, their families and all those lives lost from this prefabricated war on terrorism.

For unbiased information take a look at the information collected by Robert Martin who was the EPA National Ombudsman and held a number of hearings to assess the environmental aftermath. Search "Robert Martin Twin Towers". The Ombudsman function was eliminated while Robert was conducting these hearings. 24 armed EPA officers went to his office in Washington while he was in New York holding hearings and seized his computers, files and official reports which were then classified secret by the Bush administration. The files remain classified today. The US Senate then voted twice unanimously to reinstate Robert. The White House said NO. twice.
Robert is a Native American who cares deeply about our country.

The science shows that the WTC towers were deliberately destroyed with explosives. We need to find out who was behind this horrendous crime. Nano-thermite has been found in the WTC dust. This in addition to flowing molten steel is hard evidence for demolition. We also know that US military anthrax accompanied the 9/11 'terrorist' letters. This is another example of the forensic evidence revealing the truth and exposing the lies. Nano-thermite is not made in a cave in Afghanistan-- nor is the Ames strain anthrax. Investigate and convict the real evil-doers.

sewalkie - While I agree that many of the policies that started rolling after 911 were not good and should be repealed, I don't necessarily agree that re-investigating 911 is going to change anything. I have no first hand knowledge; however, I see these conspiracy theories come out with and without supposed evidence to back them up. I trust my government isn't going to attack its citizens just to start a war; there's far too many patriotic individuals at all levels of government that would have leaked or at least revealed prior knowledge of the attack. This is the same reason I believe that the US will never truly become a police state...Military and police are free thinkers and know the price of just blindly following orders (thanks in large part to 20th century European, Asian, and Russian atrocities).

There is certainly enough suspicious evidence to warrant another look. It can't hurt, and if a scientific commission comes out with new conclusions, it could change everything. At the very least, we might learn not to believe everything we're told in the media and to do independent investigations of important issues. We the people need to learn to think for ourselves. It's part of maturing as a people and a nation.

Terry Gross had Chip Berlet on her Fresh Air show June 18, talking about extremism, conspiracy theories, and murder. When they got to the 9/11 Truth topic, Berlet ridiculed the 9/11 Truthers because, they have this idea if they can just get the truth about 9/11 to come out, then all the problems in the Nation will be solved. He called it, “magical thinking.” Although I greatly enjoy the interviews on Fresh Air, I do feel Gross genuinely believes anyone who has been labeled a conspiracy theorist is therefore completely wrong--very sad. But, this line of thinking would say, no, a scientific fact based look at 9/11 shouldn’t be done, because obviously it would just come up with the conclusion we (the prevailing opinion) have been right all along. I, of course, think we should look at the scientific facts.
