8 Open Government Data Principles

Why Is This Idea Important?: The manner in which our national information is published determines the degree of agency we have as citizens. These principles define parameters by which we can measure our information policies. This idea was posed on the Sunlight Foundation's OOGL Project: http://feedback.sunlightfoundation.com/oogl/

The eight Open Government Data Principles should be implemented, making all government data: complete, primary, timely, accessible, machine processable, non-discriminatory, non-proprietary, and license-free. (see: http://resource.org/8_principles.html)
